  1. Happy days! I hope the DL worked for you as well. #29 on Top 50 Irish Releases of 2020, happy days! :) https://thethinair.net/2020/12/the-thin-airs-top-50-irish-releases-of-2020/
  2. Tune into Dublin Digital Radio TONIGHT @ 8pm for a 2HR Shammen Delly takeover. This mix represents a sonic collage using VHS cuts sampled from late night trips down memory lane from old videos, using reel to reel tape finding old gems, some recorded from old radio stations during the 1970's and personal home tape cassette recordings of the artist’s mother she did as a kid of homely ambience. This is all mixed in with cassette jams and self-released music from Shammen Delly with EP releases between last year and this year with ‘An Evocation to Tonduff’ and ‘The Peoples Temple OV Big Tom’ as the first hour is an indulgence of all this material mixed together with some favourite tunes within. The second hour includes current favourite and influences so you can hear the palate of sound which inspired Aengus Friel to make the music he produces today. Tune in here: https://listen.dublindigitalradio.com/
  3. Been absolutely thriving tonight with this feast for the ears.
  4. Happy days Hugh Mughnus, thanks a million! That comment made me a happy chappy. I am a big MbM head, I adore all their work. This ep definitely was influenced by a lot of Wax Trax Records stuff, I wanted to get that grit and thump of that chicago industrial sound mixed in with nods to My Bloody Valentine and Boards of Canada. I hope you all heard the bonus track within 'Far Far Away, On a Donegal Shore'. (Influenced by NIN's Broken, if only I had a cd version to get 99 tracks fitted within haha) Always shoot me a wee message when your border hopping, I'm always here in Donegal but sometimes in Belfast, but I've not been there since playing in The 343 supporting Percolator mixing from a tascam portastudio and marantz portable tape recorder mixing old home records my mum made when she was a kid and other tape sessions, bonkers night just before xmas.
  5. Here's a new video that was broadcast for a special viewing on Culture Night here in Co.Donegal 18/09/20. Come and lets jive to the sky.
  6. CoH just released a version of 'Balance', a full version of the track he did from 2018, which is a wee beauty! https://coh-official.bandcamp.com/track/balance
  7. He was 'Thee' Big Man of all Big Men back then, Granny's and Granda's all over Ireland would've waltzed to the big man himself.
  8. Happy days, Thank you BCM and Chassis. It's been a long time on here and it's great to be back, good to see some heads I haven't seen in a while! :) All this free time during the pandemic and browsing through here was a nostalgia fest within itself. I hope you all dig it, it's a very playful bunch of tunes and tape footerings. I want to share this tapemix I did in November past full of original material and some sampled fuck abouts of Michael Jackson's Human Nature (that's probably been sampled to death but by fuck it still has that power to lift your hair out of your body).

  10. Hi Folks It's been a long time since I posted here. I wanted to share something new I've been working on, a new EP I just released on May 1st that I hope people here would really enjoy. This is a vivid reimagined vision of a time when Irish Country legend Big Tom and his Mainliners were leaders of 'The Peoples Temple' in Monaghan back in the late 70's and would travel around the country summoning new followers for the sacred dances around stone circles and beaches. His followers would come down the Four Country Roads in droves, the Smithwicks would be flowing and be tainted with thee auwl Magick Mushroomz, the masses would be waltzing and jiving around large fires howling to the skies as the sun rises as the big beat keeps on thumping. The music in this EP is a mixutre of old and new music Shammen Delly produced in his 'Dunge' up north in Donegal, which sounds like a surreal noise fest of oneric distorted whirling warbly synth chords and thoughts of 70's German Krautrock emotional mellotrons, blending in hidden country bass lines, and a wash of psychedelic industrialistic rhythms and downtempo decrepit trip-hop big beats, and organic recordings of piano, harmonium, and personal tape recordings from Friel's family members throughout the past taken from an old tape the producers mother recorded when she was a kid. There's a tapemix I made from Tascam Portastudio 424mkIII sessions titled 'An Evocation to Tonduff' for your listening pleasure also. 11. This version has such a magickal climatic build, I wish the audio was better though!
  12. Brilliant, that would have been on hell of a mix if Richard done one up for them, kinda wish it happened now. there are a few versions of Sick Mirrors going round that used to precede AYOR,,,,, all out hurdy-gurdy/Breton-pipes madness with a theme about encountering some kind of demonic presence while dog-walking <---Barbara Woodhouse eat your <3 out Ah yes, those versions of Sick Mirrors that are available from the CSO boxset are mind blowing. I had an incredible experience with DMT listening to Sick Mirrors (and another time using Sleeper II and Red Queen for the DiMiTri playlist.) Sick Mirrors would have suited on The Remote Viewer release no bother with the Hurdy Gurdy sturdyness from Cliff Stapleton. Sick Mirrors and AYOR live combo:
  13. This may have come up before, but just incase it hasn't, I was listening to AYOR and I heard Quoth sampled in the background. I love this live version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3snt4PlJEQ
  14. There Will Be Cum You could even use the original title of 'There Will Be Blood' too, for sick fucks though!
  15. I hadn't a notion that those extra Remote Viewing tracks existed. Cheers for posting that! Its definitely the best Coil release to my ears, and great with DMT.
  16. Holy Moly, there's no sign of him stopping, I have loads to get through since his most recent dump today. I would hope we can purchase these gems at some point with some proper organisation, but I couldn't complain otherwise. We're spoilt rotten! Fork Rave
  17. Had such a great day listening to these old gems, going about the house whistling Parking Lot, its stuck in my head. Sams Car is glorious, simplicity at its finest!
  18. Hello lads. Its a pleasure to ask you a couple of questions. What is the earliest memory of listening to music when it gave you a sheer dose of Goosebumps so overwhelming that still to this day give's you the same feeling? and will there ever be a Rakim collaboration?
  19. haha, I can't believe Noir/Tik Tok wrote walking. Cringetastic
