  1. Although I enjoy a good deal of the newer Four Tet out there, this has failed to grab me yetsofar.
  2. Drexciya - Harnessed the Storm (It's Drexciya, nuff said. And I honestly love the new artwork, much less tacky than the original imo) Steve Bicknell - Lost Recordings: The Collections (almost 80 minutes of music by one of the UK's finest techno producers)
  3. This album is great and has more thought put into it than the things one may often associate Skrillex with. He may have been in the cohort that brought the downfall of certain kinds of bass music from the broader public but for the pop side of dance music this is incredibly strong stuff. I resent that "brostep" sullied the name of dubstep but there's still stuff that stands on its own merit as enjoyable. I totally understand and to some extent cosign the criticisms of it, too, though
  4. Matrix is a phenomenal label and Kenny Larkin and Sean Deason are both so overlooked. Great call @d-a-m-o
  5. Damn, I don't even remember the last time I heard any new Lustmord was... looks like it was 15 years ago?
  6. Dan Curtin - The Web of Life (an excellent mix of different tunes by this often overlooked techno master, prime 90s Peacefrog dopeness) Joey Beltram - Places (rock solid techno from one of the finest to ever do it, a Tresor classic which is almost thirty years old. great article about the making of it here: https://medium.com/12edit/joey-beltram-places-story-behind-the-album-9503f9df934e ) Stars of the Lid - Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid and Gravitational Pull vs the Desire for an Aquatic Life (two great albums by one of my favourite bands, of whom a member has recently passed far too soon) The Bats - Silverbeet (just some classic New Zealand indie rock/jangle pop on legendary Flying Nun Records, from Dunedin)
  7. Some of you may have already seen this but did you know Hijokaidan and C.C.C.C. played on Italian TV back in 1997?
  8. The whole bootleg was named after that piece, or at least it sometimes was
  9. I'll have to check this out. I haven't been entirely fair with my listens, I just keep hoping for something I'll like as much as I did Nebula Dance
  10. This is great news! This bootleg had been circulating for some time, it's nice to see a proper and tidied up version of Queueing Down after all these years. I hope they make CDs of this one as they have for some of the live releases they've done recently
  11. Absolutely, couldn't agree more! Well, I'm sad now because I seem to have lost my copy of Passed Me By / We Stay Together
  12. Personally, I am very excited for Three and how Hebden's music has taken so many turns. I don't disparage him for working with the likes of Skrillex and Fred again though it came as a big surprise. But the range of vibes and sounds that exist within his career is quite something to be celebrated.

  14. Have enjoyed em in the past, this is good news
