  1. I am! Thanks for thinking of me. Listening to this psych pop right now: https://pearlymoon.bandcamp.com/album/tragicomedy
  2. https://noticerecordings.bandcamp.com/album/the-sodden-floor
  3. Don't think I've listened to album from last November yet but Patrick Shiroishi is really awesome. Check him out if you aren't familiar. He's a great composer, improvisor, and player. Definitely one of my favourite contemporary sax players and incredibly prolific both under his own name as well as in various bands and combinations of musicians https://patrickshiroishi.bandcamp.com/album/five-lines-indecipherable Five Lines Indecipherable Alex Cunningham (v), Patrick Shiroishi (as), Jessica Ackerley (g), Damon Smith (b)
  4. Eager to try this one -- a decent amount of my favourite things Skee Mask has done has been his EPs
  5. I don't think I'll be buying this but that's great news. Namlook is still very missed
  6. As we wait for this album, lemme link you the two playing together on SHS
  7. Although I enjoy a good deal of the newer Four Tet out there, this has failed to grab me yetsofar.
  8. Drexciya - Harnessed the Storm (It's Drexciya, nuff said. And I honestly love the new artwork, much less tacky than the original imo) Steve Bicknell - Lost Recordings: The Collections (almost 80 minutes of music by one of the UK's finest techno producers)
  9. This album is great and has more thought put into it than the things one may often associate Skrillex with. He may have been in the cohort that brought the downfall of certain kinds of bass music from the broader public but for the pop side of dance music this is incredibly strong stuff. I resent that "brostep" sullied the name of dubstep but there's still stuff that stands on its own merit as enjoyable. I totally understand and to some extent cosign the criticisms of it, too, though
  10. Matrix is a phenomenal label and Kenny Larkin and Sean Deason are both so overlooked. Great call @d-a-m-o
  11. Damn, I don't even remember the last time I heard any new Lustmord was... looks like it was 15 years ago?
  12. Dan Curtin - The Web of Life (an excellent mix of different tunes by this often overlooked techno master, prime 90s Peacefrog dopeness) Joey Beltram - Places (rock solid techno from one of the finest to ever do it, a Tresor classic which is almost thirty years old. great article about the making of it here: https://medium.com/12edit/joey-beltram-places-story-behind-the-album-9503f9df934e ) Stars of the Lid - Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid and Gravitational Pull vs the Desire for an Aquatic Life (two great albums by one of my favourite bands, of whom a member has recently passed far too soon) The Bats - Silverbeet (just some classic New Zealand indie rock/jangle pop on legendary Flying Nun Records, from Dunedin)
  13. Some of you may have already seen this but did you know Hijokaidan and C.C.C.C. played on Italian TV back in 1997?
