  1. Excite! Academic electroacoustic music is pretty universally rad, regardless of provenance
  2. There's a way in which these 1993 (and earlier) first wave iddumz hit different than even some of the stuff in the intervening time
  3. Well, it's out and it slaps! Congrats to Jlin on being shortlisted for a Pulitzer, too! And you'll be glad to know it doesn't sound like Steve Reich, Doc
  4. One of the most forward looking producers in today's experimental dance music world is 33EMYBW out of Shanghai, China. Her 2019 album Arthropods is one of the coolest, freshest collections of nonidiomatic electronic dance beats of the past decade, one of the finest things on the wonderful label SVBKVLT, and for whatever little it's worth, a personal favourite of mine. The album before it, Golem, is also really worth listening to. This new release of hers which is due in a month and a week from today (I post this October 1st) is a concept album about nonlinear time and extradimensional lifeforms! I think it ought to be super cool https://svbkvlt.bandcamp.com/album/holes-of-sinian
  5. Interested but will need to revisit his older material
  6. Never woulda expected to hear these two release something on Ilian Tape. Exciting prospect
  7. It's the second and fourth tracks that stick out to me on that one. The former due to the lovely choral work and the latter because of the hopefulness in it along with the (at the very end) recognizable guitar tone of Dylan Carlson. Though that may be meaningless to you if you aren't also a fan of Earth, the biggest important early influence on Sunn O)))
  8. Flight of the Behemoth was the first of theirs I ever heard, so it has a special place in my heart. My favourite albums of theirs would be Altar, Monoliths & Dimensions, Oracle, Dømkirke, and Black One
  9. https://usecase0.bandcamp.com/album/city-of-windows Five tracks of techno by yours truly with a few different flavours to them, ranging from 126 up to 144 bpm!
  10. gotta listen to techno on 909 day
  11. I'll have to check it out, they are a remarkably consistent label with much excellence to offer
  12. I'm somewhat interested. Like y'all have said, this is so far in time from the stuff he made his name on it's hard to know whether to be excited or not
  13. Pole - CD 1 Neina - Formed Verse Zomby - Dedication Is this the box set?
