  1. Norman killed the exceptionally hot English teacher. Which is a bummer. Onto season 2.
  2. Just found out that Underworld are playing the Wasing Estate in the middle of nowhere in leafy Berkshire. Sounds great. Do I have to pull out all my OS Landrover maps to find out how to get there? Maybe. I can read a map. I can work a compass. Maybe steal a boat and go via the Thames and then the River Kennet? Maybe steal a boat and go via the Kennet and Avon Canal. Maybe take some drugs and fuck a mole then dig a tunnel as the crow flies across the countryside and swim over rivers like eels. Maybe. Maybe. Lager. Lager. Wasing Estate? Really? When I wake up tomorrow I'll have a clearer head but right now, I'm thinking that's in the middle of fucking nowhere (not like middle of nowhere in Canada, Australia or China) but seems strange. Maybe I'm missing something. Will be more clearer tomorrow. What do you think?
  3. Bates Motel. It's fucking brilliant. I think Cruising For Burgers and J3FF3ROO would like
  4. Can understand Skee Mask because he is genuinely brilliant and can sell plenty of records and has a Bandcamp following thing going on, and can afford to go 'off piste' and not give a shit about Spotify. But I don't understand perhaps why Ilian Tape wouldn't have their less well known artists not on there. Doesn't make sense to me. Surely you want lots of people to listen to your music? Maybe not I guess. After all Skee Mask had all his shit up on Spotify, then got popular, and then pulled the plug. Now the lesser known artists suffer? Odd in my opinion. You know I'm not frothing at the gills bothered about this, just means I don't really listen to their music. I spent thousands of pounds from the late 80's the early 2000's on cd's (still don't own The Wall by Floyd, my early teenage obsession, on CD because it cost nearly £40) so I'm well happy for a tenner a month I listen to pretty much whatever I want. I''m well fucking happy with that and over the moon to be honest. I love Spotify.
  5. No doubt by the end of Saturday, I will of procured a Holiday Acid t-shirt. Such a fantastic piece of fashion. I'm thinking white, perhaps not the grey. White looks better but you know, I can destroy a white t-shirt after only a few minutes with my dribbling, drunken goblin-like tendencies
  6. Love the line Nigga there's something wrong with your muthafucking feet!! Always makes me laugh
  7. Good bump. Forgot about this. I know (some) watmm loves Bandcamp and hates Spotify but I do wish Ilian Tape put there stuff up on the latter. Even though I respect their decision.
  8. Time will tell. It won't be good unless there is decent script and decent actors not doing numpty things in outer space. And the two words Ridley and Scott also bothers me.
  9. Finished Slow Horses season 3. Still great, though the comedy side of things may of got slightly too silly at times, verging on the ridiculous. However I still think it's the best thing I've watched in ages.
  10. Can imagine having a few too many beers this Saturday and buying one of those Holiday Acid shirts (in athletic grey)
  11. Watched Napoleon. It was free on Apple+. When I saw the trailer I was quite impressed, but then I'm almost 50, so by now kinda wised up and sceptical to the mind trick that is a brilliant trailer. Like perhaps Alien Romulus. Anyway it's hard to rate it really. The battle scenes looked incredible with good direction from Mr Scott (very Gladiator) but every other detail seemed shallow and empty. I didn't really learn that much. Just a lot of prancing about with no depth of story and some posturing, whimpering and mumbling by Mr Phoenix. I understand it's kind of impossible to do his story justice in a 150 minute film, and I think therein lies the massive problem. To be honest I got the impression that we were just in fast forward mode to get to Waterloo. That I think would have made a better film, and perhaps the film the Ridley Scott wanted to make, but I guess an Englishman just making a film about Napoleon and his defeat would have seemed odd. Just my opinion, I'm not a film boffin. probably give it a 6/10
  12. Super track. And hit repeat as soon as it finished.
  13. When the head honcho of Twoism enters the bandit country of Watmm making fairly big statements like this, then I'm fairly optimistic. One thing to be certain of, with the massive amount of time it's taken, combined with their talents, I have zero worries about it being fucking crap
  14. If you don't know this is a great track from his band Fridge before he went solo. When he was a teenager.
  15. To acid1. I've been listening to him since Pause in 2001. He use to get quite decent reviews in the NME (they called it Folktronica as music papers loved to label stuff back in the day) and I went on a whim and bought the album. I think he's always had big crossover appeal. I know a lot of indie fans listen to him, whereas I think Aphex is probably way too leftfield for your average indie pop/rock fan. Since then he's consistently put out decent music and to be honest easily deserves his 4.2 million Spotify listeners.
  16. Excellent work here. Pretty much all killer, no filler. Don't think there's a naff track on it. If there is, I'm yet to find it.
  17. Listened to Ministry's Land of Rape and Honey, The Mind Is a Terrible Thing To Taste and Psalm 69 a few weeks ago. They still sound great to these ears. Might give Filth Pig another spin but I never really vibed with that one.
  18. 2 special fried rice and some bbq ribs please. Oh and a bag of prawn crackers
  19. I could be tempted to sell my original Warp copy. After all it's only sitting on my shelf not doing particularly much. Maybe it should find a new home. One of the reasons I don't sell, is because I feel I have some sort of Aphexian relic in my house. And I like that feeling. Even though I'm not really an ultra materialistic sort of person. I guess in this day and age of streaming music it feels nice to have a Aphex Twin object that is real.
