Wouldn't it be great if it were just 4 really long tracks? I'd dog that.
I was thinking one massive track, say 30 mins long and the rest was maybe a dozen short tracks. Fuck Yeah!!!

I'm drinking wine........hah. Savingion Blanc from NZ.
Always love the effect wine has on me, turns me into a 12 year old. I have beer ready and waiting for afterwards. A selection of Adnams ales. So I will be fast asleep and snoozing away the afternoon in the not so distant future. Happy days!!

This may be shandy, but Fentimen's Lemonade Shandy is the best fucking shandy you'll ever drink.
Agreed, beautiful shandy. I'd rather drink this than most bland mainstream beers. Real lovely taste. Speaking of mainstream beers I am drinking a bottle of Heinekin from the corner shop. Can't be arsed to go on a beer mission to get a decent drop.

Watching the Napalm doco now (thank you for posting Usagi). Mr Harris does truely come across like a top bloke.

I'd agree that surripere is an awesome track, I do love those steel drum sounding bells that come in on P.NITL about half way through.
-
Had a listen all the way through this morning. It still has the same effect, thought there are some great moments on it, especially the second half of the album but I find the great moments are just few and far between.
I still want this on vinyl, just so I can gaze at the artwork.

lets put it this way, I still struggle with this album, sometimes I wonder if I will crack it. I don't put that much time into it to be fair, sometimes my patience starts waning within the first few minutes. there must be something about the texture of the tunes that grates my subconsious or something. it definately doesn't work for me, but being Autechre I know that one day I may pick it up and I will be floored.

nice samples, thanks for posting Gordon

Jon Hopkins - Insides (9.5/10) Ambient/Experimental/Glitch/Piano
One of the best albums I've heard this year.
Royksopp - Senior (8/10) Ambient/Dance/Icepop/Experimental
Quite good, really neat sound from those two.
By the way, hello!
Ooooh my goodness, what is icepop? Is it a fruity lolly? with many flavours?

Grandmaster Lord Ooze post has reminded me of this great track by them, found on a Carpenters covers album (If I was a Carpenter) of which my mate lent me a long time ago. I was like 'What the fuck is this shit mate...' and he just grinned and told me to play the Sonic Youth track. He was right. It's fucking brilliant!! But it's dark, very dark. An interesting track.
-
I think Sonic Youth have always suffered from the 'hit and miss' syndrome, some of its great, some of it is complete shit. They rarely do the 'all killer, no filler' syndrome as it were.
-
I got Murray Street in the vaults I may have to dig it out as I remember there werei indeed some great tracks on this.
-
Cheers, I've never heard of Sonic Youth
-
I listened to Slayers Seasons in the Abyss a few days ago. Still a stone cold classic.
10/10

Woah,
plucked this from the sack of obscurity today and it blew me away!!! Last time I played this I thought it was complete horseshit, mmmm now I am completely in love with it. Very tasty indeed.
And to my fresh ears it sounded very much like Richard, but we won't go into that....

dark and brooding. apocalyptic.
-
2 mins in and this sounds fucking killer!!!
-
As long as Lindelof isn't involved I'll be on board.
guy needs to fuck off, seriously. peddle your watery, shambolic brand of suspense on your own television shows.
Amen.
I'll Amen that too.

nothin like apocalyptic bass droops, it sounds like a very sad massive mechanical beast weeping

Dear Lord Oooze,
I love you lol, you are a great character. The world needs more people like you.
But you do realise looking at the most mundane things in life, seem superfragalistic high on shrooms? I have looked at concrete fly-overs and seen jesus winking at me.
Even so, great post.
(makes me wanna take shrooms)
