  1. Excellent work here. Pretty much all killer, no filler. Don't think there's a naff track on it. If there is, I'm yet to find it.
  2. Listened to Ministry's Land of Rape and Honey, The Mind Is a Terrible Thing To Taste and Psalm 69 a few weeks ago. They still sound great to these ears. Might give Filth Pig another spin but I never really vibed with that one.
  3. 2 special fried rice and some bbq ribs please. Oh and a bag of prawn crackers
  4. I could be tempted to sell my original Warp copy. After all it's only sitting on my shelf not doing particularly much. Maybe it should find a new home. One of the reasons I don't sell, is because I feel I have some sort of Aphexian relic in my house. And I like that feeling. Even though I'm not really an ultra materialistic sort of person. I guess in this day and age of streaming music it feels nice to have a Aphex Twin object that is real.
  5. Agree that Skater has a 80's AOR vibe. Kinda cool track.
  6. Sat down yesterday afternoon and started Season 2 of Slow Horses. Went to bed after finishing Season 2 of Slow Horses. Great watch.
  7. In my mildly inebriated state The Devil that is Spotify influenced me to listen to this album after Four Tet. Hah! I'm actually rather enjoying it. Not bad at all. Hail Satan
  8. Yes this is true Mr Friendly Stranger. I was listening to his remix of Bicep - Opal the other day. Cool track.
  9. Yep folks it's a Four Tet album. Very nice though, certainly seems like one of his better albums. Would be good on a late summers evening with a few beers (or a puff). Sometimes though I really wanted all Hell to break loose and some Psycho Kraken Beast Man to roar out like a raging thunderstorm C'MON YOU CUUUNTS LETS HAVE SOME FOUR TET ACIIIIID!!!! That would be more fun. But that's never gonna happen. Is it Mr Hebden.
  10. Played There Is Love In You yesterday. Still a great album. I think that's my favourite. Gonna play this soon. Not usually that excited about Four Tet albums, maybe just because I'm in a good mood and not at work.
  11. Got a long weekend off and listening to this is my first job after breakfast. Was supposed to be going fishing but that's cancelled. So it's beer, music and not much else. No beer for breakfast but definitely lunch, dinner and supper C'mon Conehead give me the beats!!
  12. Cheering for the Sir ARPA ARPA is on a mission...
  13. Listening to this. Can't decide wether its fucking amazing or fucking terrible. Burial vs Old School Prodigy vs Top Of The Pops? Feels like my brain has been replaced with a Kenwood food processor and someone has transplanted my brain into this food processor with two high quality E and now it's being blended at high speed back and forth through a time tunnel to 1993 and back to 2024 and back again. And back again. Etc. Hmmm.... Burial no doubt knows exactly what he is doing. It's almost as though he is creating a sound that is fucking with my head. And I don't know if it is utterly fucking brilliant or just absolutley fucking isn't. Strange magic.
  14. Maybe you should shoot the messenger!
  15. 1st March it's up on Spotify. Just saying. Don't shoot the messenger!
  16. Finished season 1 of Slow Horses with watching four episodes in a row. Brilliant stuff. The clever part is how the subject matter is quite serious, (a right-wing group plan to behead a Pakistani kid) yet it also has a wicked sense of humour running through it and at times made me laugh out loud. Top stuff. But I'm wishing I had more seasons to watch as I know the next two are gonna fly by. Fourth season drops in November.
  17. Found this guys channel last night. This video is totally captivating. It seems he has lots of other films worth watching. Fucking mad he goes up to people, some with (I presume Taliban) guns and announces he is a tourist from England! And they seem really pleased about that. Hah! Bonkers.
  18. Should I watch this or is it a buzzkill?
  19. I'm going to the London date and also Sunn O)) at the same venue a few days later
  20. How many times have you seen him play live Mr phudoshin?
  21. Only played this album once and I didn't pay too much attention. Sometimes I'm not in the mood for Thom Yorkes vocals, I have to be in the right frame of mind and I guess that's not the case at the moment. I didn't play In Rainbows (funnily enough my favorite) for a few years after release because after The Bends, OK Computer, Kid A and Amnesiac I was burnt out with him. Sometimes I don't play any Radiohead for a couple of years then all of a sudden, like a flick of a switch I can't stop playing them. Strange but true.
  22. True story I never liked this album when I first bought it. Agree, sitting through the whole thing from beginning to end is an endurance test. My cd copy has hand written notes, 1 to 24 with either ticks or crosses next to each number, then every few months after more plays crosses were scrubbed out and became ticks. I think there's about a dozen classics on it. Some tracks have never grown on me and remain with the original X. Of course thanks to Spotify its all in one juicy playlist. 1, 3, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 20
