  1. Looks like there's a "breath env" in there which is a +1 for the physmod hypothesis I'd say. But yeah I've had similar jumping around in pitch sounds from any random feedback loop with a chorus or something in it.
  2. Here's a long one, basically just two duophonic synth parts (so uh.. 4 parts) to a beat. And I guess the first time I've made an audio reactive video (instead of one where I have to mash buttons to the rhythm I want, which does have its charms too :p).
  3. There's the Hypnos forum, and ambientonline.org...
  4. Thanks for the kind comments guys ? glitchy and sleepy
  5. https://www.discogs.com/release/534701-Various-Improvised-Music-From-Japan 10 disc compilation of what it says on the tin. Discs 8 and 9 at the moment, 8 has a very nice long-form koto (if I'm not mistaken) piece, 9 some more straightforward free jazz. And Kaiyu by Ryoji Hojito is a very beatuiful prepared piano-ish piece, gonna track down some more of his stuff.
  6. A self-hosted website is probably always gonna be safest. With e-mail or RSS or some hip fediverse thing to notify people of updates, maybe. As long as you want "organic" (algorithmic) discoverability you'l be dependent on some ad-ridden social platform it seems, so it's a bit of a deal with the devil. Also I've seen netlabels host their stuff on archive.org...
  7. I think "listening music" in general is silly. Music is always for listening. The actual differentiator of "listening music" is that you sit down while listening to it. So maybe call it "electronic sitting down music".
  8. Saw that on the local 2nd hand site one day, it's a tr505 lol.

    elseq 1-5

Since I never know which part to pick when I want to listen to Elseq or NTS I just listened to all of them in random order (coincidentally NTS 4 ended up as the last one). I *think* I can now reliably identify at least elseq vs. nts lol. As someone mentioned upthread the use of (at first impression) quite simple static sounds is quite unique to these albums compared to their earlier ones (of course someone could prove me wrong with numerous examples ;)). Also noticed a lot of unapologetic aliasing sounds (like you would have a patch and then increase the tempo/speed 100x and basically everything you can hear is just aliasing effects of what the patch is doing way above 20khz). And latentcall is such a banger, damn...
  10. Came across this on your site, good stuff esp. that track at around 11 mins.
  11. My relatively new kensington trackball at least has 2 separate optical sensors for the 2 axes and when you block one it moves the cursor on 1 axis only like you describe.
  12. Thanks for having a listen!
  13. Wow thanks good stuff. @Key it's Untilted ackchually ?

    Japanese IDM

Some late 90s/early 2000s japanese electronic label I recently came across: https://www.discogs.com/label/785343-Transonic-Records-4 I would also like to bring this absolutely stunning but a bit overlooked Nobukazu Takemura track to your attention
  15. Nice tracks. I actually find Dusktrail quite fun and almost lighthearted, in a way. Also "Structures Group" is a dope artist name ?
  16. Nice, it gets pretty cool at 4:00 with the chords.

    I like this thread.
  19. Put together an album with some recent tracks. These represent a pretty thorough shift in workflow for me, and as such they fit together quite snugly ? Clocking in at 36 minutes it's a respectable mini-album or maybe just an EP.
  20. Jazz for your soul Can I call this bolero?
  21. As I probably mentioned before I used three of these before I had an actual mixer. If you have 2 you can make stereo mixes ?
  22. "DNA EXPLORER - extract and generate waveform DNA from audio" Some kind of resynthesis? Additive? Be curious how you like it, looks like a good machine. Personally, I bought... cables! Was about time.
  23. Nice! How's Slow Knife btw? Totally missed that.
