  1. No way I am a grand master. Rank levels need fixing. Also: lol @ twelb. Think that was something I came up with as the follow up to Exai. *edit* Actually @triachusfirst came up with it, here Congrats, grand master. Twelb is definitely a contender for new watmmeme rankings.
  2. That preview track is immense. Love how its obviously flowing straight into the next track. This is gonna be a real trip. I have a feeling it will be released before September if its already leaked - he writes in the bio its all self released through his Woe! label so he can press the button whenever he likes really.
  3. Bryn Celli Ddu Burial Chamber https://maps.app.goo.gl/hnh1zNKZsQke1pzi6
  4. There is also a 9" BOC record with 10 seconds of Magnus and Martin speaking backwards with huge reverb. I heard it was recorded and pressed from the bottom of the well.
  5. Episode 2 now online, featuring noises, electronics and drones from Ian Watson, Moss Harvest, VFH, Sharon Gal, Like Weeds, Himukalt and more....
  6. Article here on the MOS London setup - https://www.soundonsound.com/techniques/dolby-atmos-ministry-sound I have heard it in action, it's pretty mindblowing how they can make sounds zip around all over the place. Autechre in there would be immense.
  7. If the drone isn't working... you don't need anything hi-tech. Fishing rod with a micro camera on the end of the line? Tripod with a cantilever that you can just lower it down? It seems that half of the problem with documenting this place is that most of the locals are sh*t scared of it
  8. Oh nice, good luck with that. I think the only artist on that list I am familiar with is Kieran Mahon so if I wasn't at the complete other end of the country I would make an effort for this. Hope it goes well
  9. He's been on 6music again, 30 minute "raver's" mix for Tom Ravenscroft https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000wtn0
  10. Released today. If you buy through bandcamp, there are 2 bonus digital tracks as well. I have enjoyed the past few snares releases; the Daniel Lanois collab was fantastic and this continues in the strong vein of his collaborative work. It is complex / ever shifting sound design as you would expect from Snares, with this bubbling undercurrent of synth sound that ties it together. Are they just hitting record and jamming? Yeah, most likely. But there are some beautiful structures and the ending of "April Two 11" melts down to this lush nothingness. So this is more than just a guy patching some modules and standing back, its two guys patching modules.... ? but there is some obvious energy / synergy at play that makes it stand up tall. My ears agree.
  11. Miss my Volca Kick, regretted selling it as soon as it went. Although I know you can pick them up still 2nd hand for a good price (and new), so I may replace it one day.
  12. Just hit play on Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead. After the opening scene, if the intro credits are the best bit then it's worth watching alone. So cool - basically fits all of the zombie clichés into 4 minutes and now I'm excited about what will happen in the rest of the film
  13. First Episode is up on Mixcloud, 2nd episode has been recorded and is going out next Tuesday. Fixed my microphone monitoring issues - you can hear what Im saying in the second show (might be an improvement?)
  14. My favourite Marvel from late 80s / early 90s were those 2-issues in one that you flipped over and read from the back as well. Some great weird characters mixed in with the usual ones there. Anyone remember those? *edit* Found it Marvel Comics Presents So actually 4 stories per issue, 2 were ongoing and 2 were obscure 1-offs with lesser known characters. Wonder if my parents still have my old comics in the attic....
  15. I do not follow football at all, but I enjoy seeing people get their hopes up and ultimately shattered by the crushing perennial disappointment that is a tournament. happy Euro 202(1)0 to you all
  16. Some cool photos and stories in this thread, great work watmm. I recently moved to Devon and I can see Dartmoor from my bedroom window. In the stock photo below, I live in the town just below the sun and I can see Haytor from here. It's gloomy / drizzly and grey AF now though and it's barely visible. Awesome place to explore, OVER 360 square miles of wilderness. So excited to have wild camping trips in the dark sky there soon.
  17. Cool these are now available. Would like them in my bandcamp collection but since I already have the bonus CDs seems weird paying for them. Appreciate datach'i and p-mu wanting to make some bunce out of selling them though.
  18. https://sterilerecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-revenant-tapes Available for one day only. TODAY! 16 tracks, recorded 2013 - 2019 in Bristol. Weird (by Ekoplekz standards) experimental beatery and sounds. I am an Ekoplekz fanboy as is probably evident; and on first listen this ticks all my weird industrial / rythmic / dub boxes. Some of these tunes as sinister AF; Dead Head and Kobold#1 stand out so far. Available on tape and CDr, with a pin badge! Released on the recently resurrected Sterile Records, home to cult industrial outfit Nocturnal Emissions (Caroline K and Nigel Ayers)
