Last month i finally cracked and bought myself a tape player. After being outbid on ebay a bunch of times by people going crazy for Walkmans and the like, I opted for one of those new tape to USB players as found on Amazon for about £20. So now i can finally listen to the tapes that were sent to me for review when I was doing my zine! And I must admit I have purchased a couple of new tapes. I have a new routine where I go for an evening walk to listen to a tape and leave my phone at home. Its nice.

Thank you for listening. Yes, I have been listening to a lot of primal / ritual style music lately. My next EP is about an ancient forest near where I live, and all sorts of stories surround pre-christian rituals that used to happen there... I am really glad that sort of sound is coming through! By the powers of deduction.... Side "A" is the only side with 2 tracks on, so that is shown on the left in this photo. Track 1 M4 Lema has an ambient intro / outro. Track 2, which is "F7" looks to me like a beatless / ambient track. I presume the record on the right of the photo is Side "C" judging by the track lengths.

F7 is quite often the shortcut key for spellchecker. Perhaps they should have pressed that when working on those track titles

Ordered vinyl and CD. Lush track lengths, focused business. Quite like the artwork. Lush, if you will.

I made a stainless steel percussive "thing" that you can see in the picture. Jammed out some loops with my Volca Drum and tinkered around with it during the second half of this track and ran it through some pedals. Fun times! Am thinking I will modify the device a bit to get a better tone, but otherwise not bad for a first attempt.

Started watching The Boys and now my prime subscription has run out. Really enjoyed those first 3 episodes, and I guess I will probably renew for a month at some point so I can catch up when season 2 is out.

The idea of a 17 year old kid running around unloading an assault rifle on protestors is such a mad premise. And then when you add in endorsement by the cops... crazy. I can't remember the last time I even saw a real gun. (edit... don't think I have ever seen an automatic rifle unless it was being discretely carried by an army soldier on the local air base near here. Have seen shotguns for game hunting, don't think I have ever seen a real pistol). Sorry, but USA is fucking crazy and I cannot even
