  1. Nice, I love the art. I almost bagged the tapes but I'm still on a self imposed media ban ha... It sucks
  2. Welcome! I've not been posting too much here lately, but this board kind of runs like the lifecycle of a cicada as we ebb and flow between new autechre albums, rumours of aphex twin albums and re-releases of Hi-Scores by BOC. Enjoy!
  3. A studio session I recorded back in 2019 that I listened to again the other day and thought hey why not ill stick some of it up on BC https://solomantump.bandcamp.com/album/safehouse-demo-n-s
  4. I cannot recommend this series of CD's enough: https://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/close-to-the-noise-floor-formative-uk-electronica-1975-1984/ https://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/noise-reduction-system-formative-european-electronica-1974-1984/ https://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/third-noise-principle-formative-north-american-electronica-1975-1984-various-artists-4cd-48pp-bookpack/ https://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/further-perspectives-distortion-an-encyclopedia-of-british-experimental-and-avante-garde-music-1976-1984-various-artists-3cd-boxset/ Absolute encyclopedia to the amazing sounds across the planet that were going on in the 70s and 80s... chripes, some of this stuff is nearly 50 years old now and sounds better than a lot of the junk that is coming out these days
  5. This is a cracking release, don't understand the Autechre references in the BC profile though.
  6. Yeah think I called this a while ago. A series of 12" club bangers by 'chre plz
  7. Made it to e3 of Sandman, not sure if I'm gonna be able to sit this through tbh.
  8. Episode 2 was pretty lame, about rats. Episode 3 (autopsy) was slightly confusing and didn't really hit the mark. Episode 1 was actually the best so far.
  9. Great artist, I still listen to her Fabric mix loads.
  10. It reached season 4 already? Damn. I thought s2 was a right mess in the end, forced myself through it then gave up. Why are TV shows such an expensive hot mess right now.
  11. I'm well behind on Hellebore now, the issues I've got have some great written content. Main issue for me is they felt like too many filler pages of abstract art to bump up the page count and therefore the cost. If it was £3 cheaper and just folded and stapled A4 I'd love the hell out of this. Also, it doesn't really need to be colour either. Theres a few around at the moment of a similar ilk - Black Dog, Grimoire Silvanus and Weird Walk.... If anyone knows of a proper DIY feel "wyrd" zine I want in.
  12. Watched Memento for the first time in 20 years. It was actually fine and obviously some ideas within kinda played out again in later Nolan films. I just think to make it a better film it could have been more graphic / grittier. It played out very PG most of the time which is not what the film was about (revenge fo r ape and murder of wife)
  13. I found a US copy of Adore on 2lp in my collection and apparently they sell for like £100 in the UK. So it's straight on discogs.
  14. Noisily, 4 days in a forest in Leicestershire. Loads of Psy Trance, drum and bass, techno and stuff. It was one of those stupidly hot weekends we had this summer but dancing in the trees was amazing because it was a few degrees cooler. Also the music was 11am - 4am with no sound restrictions and they had proper good sound systems in place, none of this turning it down at midnight nonsense. Great times were had. Felt exhausted and rejuvinated all at once. I also worked Supernormal festival this summer which was a completely different beast. Much smaller and with much weirder sounds. Loved it. Surgeon, Sam Kerridge, Hesska, loads of other small names that were amazing. Real DIY feel and spirit.
  15. This is kinda like Autechre made a baby with Moderat and I like it
  16. 30 minutes of video from a recent live set in Berlin
  17. Kila was awesome glitch sampled funk. This new album is very different on first listen, almost a different artist.
  18. Mildly amusing and very British meme roundup https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/sep/15/the-most-british-thing-ever-huge-queue-of-royal-mourners-sparks-memes-and-gentle-humour
  19. Elephant Man was on BBC4 last night. A very enjoyable watch. Linear Lynch with a story you can follow, plus some obligatory confusing dream sequences. Great work by all the actors involved too, quite moving
  20. I watched the first 2 episodes and dunno if I can carry on. Seems to have the story all mapped out for me now.
  21. The media still wheel out Diana specials every year, so I'm afraid we will never hear the end of this
