    elseq 1-5

Got up at 5.30am to listen to elseq1 before the kids wake up. It sounds to me like they are clearing the post-Exai decks, first AE_Live and now studio jams. After totally spluging on the live stuff, I think I'm going to do these one at a time. There's a lot going on. Loving 13xO step in a really Quaristice kind of way. Not loving the pricing, but I'm mostly broke thanks to Radiohead.

Since it was nine quid for one set or ten quid for all five, it seemed a bit pointless to pick and choose. Downloading has only crashed once so far...

Dublin is an absolute monster. I played Brussels first, but it didn't clickso much - possibly 8am wasn't the best time for it. So far it's all about Dublin. This is exactly why I have massive loudspeakers.
  4. It's back. 30 Ms Short has no download tab though. This truly is the best time to be housebound and on painkillers. It's an upside I wasn't expecting. Edit: Download restored. And relax.
  5. Just made it to recks on. This just gets better and better. I was a defender of Oversteps, in a 'remember how happy we were when we made Amber' kind of a way, but this is just in a different league. I'm actually glad I have a 4 hour train journey tomorrow night...
  6. Doesn't seem likely that the 24 bit wavs were unmastered but it is possible I suppose that they are audibly less compressed or differently mastered in some other way to the 16 bit versions. since the site is down I can't get an alt version to comapre. That blast of white noise was a bit of shock though. I'm listening on some fairly serious equipment and other than that obvious glitch everything sounds fine to me. Huge, spacious and most importantly (musically) 100% killer. Best Ae since ... erm Draft?. Maybe best Ae, period.
  7. +1 for the Jane Weaver. Unexpected and really enjoyable. Also - I'm listening to this right now http://jonbrooks.bandcamp.com/ and it's very good I think. From Jon's Soundcloud page: "Every sound on Cafe Kaput KAP003 'Music For Dieter Rams' originated from a small alarm clock. Contact microphones recorded various aspects of the clock and fragments of these recordings were used as the raw building blocks".
