WATMM I'm kinda disappointed that I found out from mixmag rather than you lot that i had missed a Peverlist EP and a new DJ Manny album! They also reminded me I have more 2023 Shackleton to still explore properly. Took a couple of listens for this to click with me (and been bit 2 obsessed with Actress the past few weeks to give it full attention!) but listened more last few days & now fully into it. Awesomeness once again & as much as I've loved his collaborative stuff this does feel more focused and has that classic Shackleton sound but is still pushing things forward. Still need to catch up with the other stuff I've missed from him but planning to take it slow as his shits deep & deserves proper listens.

Can see where your coming from...but for me at least his music hits a trippy dreamlike weirdness that I just don't get from anyone else. I totally think he has his own sound & is one of my fav music makers right now.

Yeah listening & sounds like all new shit again! Couple of bits sounded familiar so far but think they may have been reworked bits of previously released tracks Anyhow all sounding awesome again so far!

Enjoyed this at first but it's also growing on me loads each listen, might well end up being my favourite Actress album at this rate. (Current top for me either RIP or Karma) Also been listening to the NTS sesh a lot as well..anyone know if its available to download anywhere? Someone above mentioned new NTS 1 today but think it's just going to be repeat of the previous one (hope I'm wrong though!)

Finally got chance to listen fully and so good! Agree with this though just feels like Actress being unashamedly Actress & doing his thing...& I'm here for it, top album Need to listen to the NTS thing again as well, its kinda like we got 2 albums for the price of 1!

Don't like to 2nd guess artists motivations but for me this sounds like a love letter to trance & happy hardcore. Think it resonates with me cause I also grew up on that, it was the first electronic music I was properly exposed to and get the feeling he might be the same. Either way its an awesome enjoyable album and seriously a contender for AOTY for me!

I liked some of his early stuff but wasn't mega excited for the album or anything but all the people shitting on it makes me wants to listen (and makes me think I will prob v much enjoy!) Find it so weird people bitching about it...a record labels released something that's not to your taste big fucking deal

Personally the 22 live sets have rekindled my love for Autechre! The 2016/18 live sets & to a lesser extent sign /plus never fully gelled with me as much as previous stuff & i hadn't been listening to the back catalogue much either last few years. Thought it was me to be honest & my tastes had changed a little and although would still count them as top tier felt like my obsessive love for them had dropped off... But yeah these sets got me fully back in!...love them so much & from that been re exploring everything else Ae. Going to give the 2016/2018 sets another go next me thinks. I don't think saying take a little break & come back to it a bad thing to say at all..reckon we have all had the experience with them that some stuff we didn't like at 1st later became a fav (the classic for me was chiastic slide, didn't get on with it at all when first heard it, but would now consider it up there with their best)

London B & Athens are my 2 favs. Though they are also the ones I have listened to the most! Not sure I can fairly judge the others yet...other than to say they all slap!
