  1. lol, I never saw a release which people hesitate to buy for the care of other people who might want to buy it. Level 8 is cute already edit: sample of first track available on ovuca.com spoiler :
  2. sounds good but I don't understand! what do you mean exactly?
  3. Yeah a lot of things decided me to buy a Quadraverb lately. I was afraid that the syrobonkers! interview make them take too much value but here in europa it already went down back to the 50 euros "OK" second hand price they seemed to cost before. I'm still borrowing a reverb from a friend , the Lexicon MPX1. I'm not too fond about it but maybe it's just because I didn't try that much to tweak it and find the sweet spots (I thought I would replace it quicker).
  4. I really like your setup. This Studio Electronics ATC-1 looks great, I might be interested in getting one at some point. Do you like Quadraverbs that much that you use two of them? Like one for reverb, the other one for more FX or so?
  5. request seconded
  6. lots of similarities between this track and Come To Daddy, little lord Faulteroy mix, almost sound like a prototype [sc5]189364790[/sc5]
  7. ah nice find. funny that no one mentioned any similarity with rdj at the time. a couple of people say they like the "untitled" track particularly and for me it's one of the most obvious RDJ one. I would bet anything this track has been made by him at the time of Drukqs. If it wouldn't be the case my beliefs in music and life in general would be rather disturbed.

any suggestions on which album to start with? heard a song on the radio yesterday as I was driving, it catched my attention and made me want to hear more. It was "Somebody Else's World".
  10. wanted to post that as well
  11. lol i like the floor
  12. I'm sure having that above your head when you sleep makes you dream about synths even more. interesting bedroom setup
  13. those releases are not easy but I also feel kind of overwhelmed by the amount of released material over the time. It's really a lot, and another way of selecting the tracks (more sparingly) might have been a better option imo. Still, there is quality to those releases and seeing them as experiments with this mysterious method he uses give them enough credit to me. Given how fast they come out they could be cheaper though. The last one is pretty interesting because it shows more diversity somehow, and it could mean that the whole thing will keep evolving into something with a wider sound palette. Like elaborating on this custom scale thing and progressively opening to a bigger world of sounds. Quite exciting!
  14. come on your studio looks awesome! sadly I can't find any link to your music
  15. on a social and cultural aspect, I find it crazy to see the influence America had and still have over Europe and the rest of the world (I can speak more for Europe though). In a way, you can see it as having been a huge laboratory for control of people through consumerism. A big majority of the mechanisms and tools of this control have been used in america before to be exported to the rest of the world and to Europe in the first place. That goes for technical things (infrastructures, laws, ...) but also a huge deal for collective uncounscious, ideals of the society, psychological ideals etc... Culture (notably cinema) helped a lot on that side btw
  16. @ Mesh Gear Fox : I solved the problem with MIDI Yoke (by installing another program of this kind because there seem to be problems with MIDI yoke on Windows 7) and I'm currently trying your Max editor. I think I like it even more than the Ctrlr programmer, which has a weird interface. Yours is compact and transparent. If I still were into Max I might want to make some personal tweaks on it. I might ask one of my roommates if he happens to have a version "lying around" on his hard drive if I continue to use your patch and care enough to improve it. Thanks a lot anyway!
  17. weren't you involved in some tweaks on the Ctrlr panel for TX81Z Skibby? I think I recognized your previous WATMM avatar on the forum. This editor lacks some features (and also tends to overload the MIDI buffers of the synth very quickly) but it's nice to have it anyway. The TX81Z Editor for which I already provided a link seems great but it just works for 30 days before you have to pay, which I really don't want to right now. @ Mesh Gear Fox : couldn't get your editor working so far because Midi Yoke ports doesn't show up in Max Runtime. I don't understand why but I'll try to fix that.
  18. I'd be glad to give it a try kanarie, thanks for proposing!
  19. me too but I don't have Max. Should run on Max Runtime though?
  20. ok TX81Z should arrive today. started to do my homework yesterday and went through the manual before to go to bed. Still need to find a good programmer program. The TX81Z programmer looks good but I didn't see you have to pay after one month (not a lot though, 20$). There's also Ctrlr which looks good, but not dedicated to the synth.
  21. more or less consciously I was waiting for that kind of advice ;-) just messaged the seller to clear up a couple of details and if his response is positive well I guess I should have in next week or something. Definitely not reasonable but it makes me happy
  22. ah good to know about the TX81Z. I might fix it like you did if I bother about that. I would buy it on ebay in Germany, I don't think I'll find a good offer close enough or directly in Leipzig. But I don't know, if I find a good offer for a DX7 or a DX11 I might buy that instead. DX11 seems to be great but it's a lot more expensive than I thought. TX81Z looks great as well, I'm just wondering how I would integrate it into my current hardware setup because the MIDI master is a MPC - I definitely want to program the synth so I would have to plug it to the computer and to use a MIDI merger (which would merge the MIDI sequences from the MPC and the MIDI info from the librarian). And this merger would add itself to the list of the things I want to buy for that hardware setup, which keeps growing at a worrying rate since I started making tracks in this new setup . btw TX7 looks very ugly but it also seems to be cheap and is probably good PS : do you use this programmer for your TX81Z? any comment on it, or the one you're using?
  23. could get a TX81Z for 120€, it's not my top priority right now but I'm itching to buy it...
  24. Just finished The Twilight Companions by François Bourgeon. I read the two firsts books several years ago and didn't know there's a third one (being twice longer as the other ones). It's a medieval series with a hint of fantasy, happening during the french 100 years war. It's quite dark and raw, the dialogues are extremely dense (he used old french so there are a lot of expressions you never heard but that you understand with the context). François Bourgeon is also known for The Passenger Of The Wind and the Cyan Saga. The drawings are incredible I heard he makes huge amounts of researches before to draw stuff. I was so happy to discover this third book, it's really one of the best thing I read since a long time
