  1. The Monuments Men - Watched simply for John Goodman and Bill Murray. Wasn't sure what to expect out of a George Clooney film. Was OK but I wouldn't really recommend it. I think a documentary would be better if there is one.
  2. Interstellar - Enjoyable film and would like to watch again, but not utterly outstanding for me.
  3. Plz cher recipe. It's a slow cooker recipe but I'm sure you could cook it stovetop! Btw it turns out fairly thick, more like a stew than a soup. It's super tasty with some sriracha or other hot sauce too. Ingredients: 2 14.5oz cans diced tomatoes 1 15oz can navy beans 1 onion, diced 3 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 teaspoon oregano 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary 2 bay leaves 4 cups vegetable broth 1 pound kale, chopped (make sure to properly remove the tough stem that runs the length of the leave) salt/pepper to taste ^^ That's the original recipe. In addition to that I added 2 chopped fresh tomatoes and a pound of shredded chicken. I also used chicken broth instead of vegetable broth (mostly because that's what I had on hand). Directions: Wilt Kale in a large pot with a few tbsp. of butter. Place all other ingredients in your slow cooker/crock pot, stir in the wilted kale. Cook on low for 7-8hrs or high for 3-4hrs. Remove bay leaves. Serve and enjoy! Sounds good, just recently got a slow cooker and looking for things to try. I'll give it a go!

    Now Reading

Reading the 6th in the James Patterson Women's Murder Club series at the moment. I've enjoyed them all and will probably continue with the whole ongoing series, but there's just one think that irks me. There's quite a few instances where everything just gets too cheesy for a few minutes. Just the things colleagues or friends say to each other; people don't talk like that. A guy just ran around shooting people including a kid in the face, then some cheesy conversation happens. Ergh.
  5. what are you talking about? the original Office is the only thing he's ever made ever, I don't know about any other things He's kind of annoying yeah but he also brought us good stuff like Extras and Karl Pilkington. Yeah I was obviously half-joking there. He's cool, I like all of his stand-ups and the Karl Pilkington interviews but most of the movies and series he's been in recent years are questionable. In any case, The Office is the best comedy to ever exist and I won't accept the existence of any other Offices that aren't that one. Definitely, re-watched a lot of it the other day for the first time in a few years. My brother said the sales office he works in always quotes phrases. A guy hit targets or something and came in the office and did this dance absolutely perfectly apparently. I was crying with laughter at just the thought of this happening in a packed office. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQKg-mQajdg
  6. Finished American Horror Story : Hotel. Last episode was absolute wank. Now onto Trailer Park Boys Europe and Westworld.
  7. I enjoyed pretty much all of it, maybe got a bit turned off as it got later in the last season but still worth watching. On American Horror Story - Hotel, about half way through. I didn't think I'd carry on watching after the first series but did, same thing happened on the second, third etc but it always keeps me watching pretty enjoyable in a weird way. Strange to have Lady Gaga in it. Was talking at work with people the other week before starting this series and they all commented how gory it was. From memory I couldn't remember it ever being that gory. Watching this season, they were truly right.
  8. Wouldn't surprise me, with a soundtrack from Hudson Mohawke too.
  9. They don't allow downloads no, it is recorded and stays up for a month on the BBC website though.
  10. Not that we get anything other than show spiders in the UK, but they do all get rid of moths and flys which are fucking annoying, so they're friends in my book.
  11. Have you seen The Staircase? I haven't, though remember the guy who recommended it talking about a staircase murder series. That'll be next then. I presume it's worth the watch?
  12. Mr Jinx - Only watched the first episode but I like where this is going. I've kept from reading anything about it. Basically a body is found in bits in the sea and all points to a heir to one of the biggest property developers (or something) in New York. His wife already went missing years ago. I was recommended it after watching Making a Murderer.
  13. Whether it is multiplayer or not I'd quite like to get it at some point.
  14. My iTunes library file (I know, it's my stupid fault for using it) has become corrupt, and I rely on my playlists to keep track of stuff and see what I haven't yet listened to. Moving to Linux Mint shortly so going to get a new media centre anyway, but was originally hoping to be able to keep my play counts, playlists etc. Well now I can't cause the last backup is from 2014. Just a big OCD ballache.

Obviously not yet reading but this is coming 20th October. If you haven't already heard iPartridge the audio book, get it now. Trial Audible and DL that gold!
  16. I suppose it's worth trying anything to make yoga less boring.
  17. Sorry to hear that 747, hopefully things will get better for you very soon.
  18. Really enjoying Fargo S2 at last. About 5 episodes in. Not sure whether I prefer to the first season but it sure is a close call so far.
  19. I find them quite cute, in a pillow animal looking kinda way.
  20. Good for him. I prefer him fatter and wheezing though.
  21. Netflix catalog in the UK is but a shadow of what's on offer in the US. I don't think many people in the USA realise this. They assume it's the same. Yeah I get that impression, I was having a chat quite some time ago with a few watmmers and they were talking about all these programs on Netflix (it's just popped into my head it was Twin Peaks) and there was F all on the UK catalog. Its pretty piss poor imo. Having said that I keep meaning to catch up on all the David Attenboroughs like Frozen Planet and Africa and its quite good for that. The UK Netflix did have Twin Peaks on a while ago. For some stupid fucking reason they got rid of it.
