    Somewhere in between It's very good. Very very good. I love it. I love the shit out of that track. It's (as they say in the UK) "mental". Also, structurally, it's about as straight-up of a DJ-friendly rave track as he's ever done. Old school as fuck. It even has the extended drum loop at the end, for mixing purposes. If you don't get it, it's ultimately your loss. Richard is masterful in his music making. I don't think he's without errors but I think 180db_ is deliberate and therefore goes beyond good or bad and becomes a question of taste.

    I love it. So far it's exactly the album I was hoping for after seeing him live, but I'm only 4 tracks in. 4bit is making me do a big fatty cum.

    orgasmic on my reference planar magnetic headphones Crazy. I was listening on a Hifiman HE-6. Unless you're using an Abyss (which it could actually sound great on I think), it's hard to find more reference planars. What headphones are you using? I inherited some Kevek speakers which sound more similar to when he played stuff in the club and I think it's worlds apart with minipops he-6 needs a amplifier 3W @ 60 ohm I think it can sound decent on as low as around 2W with the right synergy/decent psu but I was giving them much more than 3W when I was doing my critical listening to Syro

I'm personally grateful so I don't have to bear idiots making up track names... lol manners. I think we're getting 2 close

    LOL, I didn't know they were going to supply the track names until I got the files! I was as surprised as anyone! did the surprise turn out to be what you thought it would be? the digipak wasn't really a surprise to me since I'd been reading the CW Art thread. Well, I was never promised any "surprises" per se - that was a bit of Joyrexian Hype™ on my part

    Well, the tracknames were one of the surprises - nice, no? There still might be something coming! that's actually a great point. having the track names is my definition of a good surprise -- nothing huge, but something I didn't expect at all and makes me happy

    missed it. been busy with my job and I missed it. very seriously considering quitting my job and moving back in with my parents. I haven't been this gutted in a long time

    I know this doesn't help but I've been reading some Krishnamurti lately and I think it's finally jelling for me. Some of the Steinvord stuff is fantastic, right now I can't get over how good Untitled 9 sounds. If it's Richard, great. If it's not, even better, maybe this is a person who will continue to put stuff out. tl;dr I'm finally getting to the point where I'm unconcerned about Richard's approach to releasing things. How can it be that a forum that prides itself on being intelligent is so concerned? (I do like these collab ideas though..)
