  1. if u follow the numbers and lines on the tracklist it sort of makes out the words "aphex twin." the clearest part is 9-10-11-12 making an X, could never quite get the rest. the smudge off of 09 makes the cross of a "t" and the afx237 v.7 could be part of the "i." also not sure why 29 is on there twice. im sure someone else could figure it out better. rough example:
  2. Got a replacement that has louder pops than the first copy. Make it a digital only release if you can't press a listenable record that would have been fine and saved everyone a lot of trouble. I don't feel like working for a record company as a quality control person and shipping garbage plastic across the ocean seems bad for the world so i think i'm done wasting energy on this.
  3. (vocoder disco) lyrics? ...you didn't know.. ...you don't show... ` ...you don't know.. " ...you can't know...
  4. I believe I can see where this is going to. He's uploading tracks one by one from each release and then a new track will pop up from an upcoming release. I like this theory. Also, even though its AFX and not aphex, he should put up mangle11 so more people can hear the best song ever.
  5. Kinda sad that all the funny/interesting comments and links are gone, but i’ll remember the laughs and the great stuff I got to hear. Now it’s like a good conversation that you have had with someone in the past. You can’t remember every word but the feelings and ideas are there in your memory to recall and build with. Even if every bit of the conversation was available in a zip, it’s over now and you can’t relive it. If there was a recorder that could go forever would it be of any use? You have to stop it eventually to do something with what you got!

  8. Anybody tried searching for that Skythians book? Looked around last night and found a bunch of scam sites with an aegypt.pdf that were worthless and a blog that had two pictures of pages from it. One of the pics linked to a David Ritchie's facebook that has 2 more pics, some stuff about resonant frequencies and gravity waves. Seems kind of like the James Churchward "mu" series of books but more about the possibilities of the future than a lost history. Somebody with facebook could maybe try to contact him about a copy? Then this morning i saw on a news site that some archeologists recently found some Scythian artifacts: gold bowls and cups with some very nice art on them and residues of opium and weed. Sound like pretty chill dudes, def. makes me want to know more about what they were up to.
  9. Man these are some tough decisions, started at the bottom and made it to rogphlange before I had to start going back and changing things. I think the hardest are the ones with two versions, had plinkyplonk[orig] first but changed it to the other one, stayed with tamclap[orig] because it seems a little more dynamic than 2? Which did you guys go for? Not really worrying about the votes too much because every one has something worthwhile in it and having access to all this greatness has kind of made me stop caring about physical mediums entirely. I'll always like the improved bass you get w/ hq stuff but hell, my first exposure to afx was 96 and 128 kbps mp3s way back when before getting the albums. Rather listen to all this as is than some boring bullshit in flac or whatevs.
  10. Maybe he's trying to tell us he's a secret time traveller and he wrote that while visiting one of the Paris Universal Expositions. Also that Ghosties track mentioned in those comments is quite funky. Collabo or he was doing one in Mike's style, love that one.
  11. 22 HOURS and it's seemingly just a fraction of what he's accomplished, amazing. Swimming in sound clouds..
  12. dp5 beats, fly beats, (water) seem kinda HABish to me
  13. It's impossible to pick favorites but by focusing on "dancier" songs I was able to get a playlist of a reasonable length. (~80 mins, still had to drop one track to fit it on a cd)
  14. Was listening to 180db this morning with it's massive sounding drums and now that I've heard CCAI2 it got me wondering if they were computer controlled here as well?
  15. VHS Head linked one of this dudes videos on twitter, pretty cool.
  16. so the last comment on the user_ page, @tonewheelorg: it uses genetic synthesis when you click it just takes you to 'mental telepathy.' what is that in reference to, the song or the bird
