  1. really another era real aesthetically emotional really... another epic
  2. >i don't expect every politician in the mainstream.. part of the system or whatever.. to be revolutionary and bring on some kind of socialist mutual aid based system based on anarchic principles with no hierarchies.. thats a pretty high bar which is systemically never going to happen, that can only come from outside but its not a high bar to give everyone universal healthcare, education, etc. plenty of other capitalist countries have done it. harm reduction, i wouldnt say its harm reduction, democrats and republicans are a unified front defending the owning class's interest, and they are very good. democrats play a role of pretending to be left wing, and pretending to give an alternative to republicans, and they do more harm than good. if they disappeared entirely, would their voter base too? no, and that voter base is much further left than the democrats. so it suggests a spontaneously arising party starting from nothing representing democratic voters desires would represent them better than the democrats
  3. harm reduction? hes a supporter of israel's genocide of the palestinians, and said he would veto medicare for all if it was signed by congress on his desk this harm reduction fallacy is such bullshit because he doesnt reduce any harm whatsoever, he exists to justify the two-party system by acting as a faux-left option when hes really far right "could be a lot worse" could be a lot better too. not him though. capitalists are fundamentally incapable of making things better longterm.
  4. the future of humanity, the savior of humankind, the technological god, the genius of our age, ignore how he cant touch the back of his head to a wall
  5. in the US for example there are democrats and republicans. both capitalists advocating continuation of owning class control of the country. when anyone even remotely left wing like bernie sanders (a tepid social democrat) tries to run, they slander him in capitalist media. let alone an actual socialist trying to get in to give working class control. it is a dictatorship of the owning class, it just shifts between one of two factions both democrats and republicans want to maintain israel and support its genocide of palestinians. the only parties who dont? communists, the only ones with actual principles https://www.liberationnews.org/psl-statement-free-palestine-free-all-palestinian-political-prisoners-end-all-u-s-aid-to-the-israeli-apartheid-regime/
  6. the "leaders" are nothing more than figureheads, stooges put in place by the owning class itself through sham elections which are rigged ahead of time to only let in one of two options, which consists of a much larger population, though still a minority of the global population when the working class is included. and yes, they want lives of luxury without having to work, by extracting the surplus labor value of the working class, and the entire product of global south and otherwise exploited and imperialized countries
  7. money is too simplistic, it's an emergent phenomenon, taking on forms differing depending on the mode of production a) capitalist mode of production being incapable of providing for the material needs of people b) fascism, a reassertion of the capitalist mode of production in the most brutal and obvious way, taking on an ethno-nationalist and therefore genocidal character in Israel c) imperialism, they want israel as a US military outpost in the region, like a younger Biden said "If Israel did not exist we would have to create it" as a justification for sending them more aid

  18. Look, having extraterrestrial—my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the School of Radiology, very good, very smart —you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the greatest UFOlogists anywhere in the world—it’s true!—but when you’re a conservative Republican they try—oh, do they do a number—that’s why I always start off: Went to SoR, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a portfolio of proof—you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged—but you look at the gravitational waves deal, the thing that really bothers me—it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are (gravitational waves are powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right—who would have thought?), but when you look at what’s going on with the Mexican aliens—now it used to be three, now it’s four—but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the aliens are smarter right now than men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years—but the Persians are great investigators, the Iranians are great investigators, so, and they, they just abducted, they just abducted us.
  19. none of this shit even matters, its too complex to attempt to pretend ur comparing "centrally planned" vs capitalism, fact is capitalism cannot even eradicate child food insecurity in the richest capitalist nation on earth, and not only that, they dont even want to pretend like its a goal, they just do not care and actively oppose efforts to fix it thats a fundamental flaw, you cannot make rational goals and achieve them, it has to be mediated through a market for profit. say its a better system all you want, i want a central planning system that says "make more fucking food and distribute it to children and schools immediately" and they have to listen . yeah, i want that level of centralized control , if you dont youre poisoned by ideology
