spaces how V is psychedelic, the auditory manifestation of the eternal waiting room that awaits us all in death, wishing we shouted out "Hey, wait for me" as the last of your convoy left the room before the door locked, instead of keeping quiet to avoid being an inconvenience to them for asking for the right to avoid eternal waiting by joining them in social bonding. Interspersed with screams and yells, is the waiting room the same cosmic jail Dave found himself in, his older wrinklier self, the noises being their own unique way of asking the prison guard to let them out? Does the guard himself want to get out even more than them, and their mere existence requires his guarding? Should he be begging them to let him leave?
  2. sometimes it's good to sell out in the short term to be able to root in and branch out more in the long term
  3. that being said i think the quality has lowered maybe because adult swim is paying them so they have a higher budget and can buy expensive shit so its not as creative
  4. I thought it was amazing I was high as fuck though and accidentally stumbled upon it on the TV guide on adult swim and it was the surprise of a lifetime. I had no idea this was even a thing and then I see it there waiting to be played in 15 minutes It was glorious, I loved the ending bit with the girls using men as emotional tampon quasi prostitutes and getting arrested

Idk what you're talking about with the breathing, but now that I listen to 7th slip looking for acid-like qualities it sure reminds me of what it's like when your thoughts literally echo through your head on acid along with that weird timestretch feeling where you hear a low hum as a response to stuff. idk how to explain Agreed sir. lol juan & roberto autechero el seq, mi madre! lol forgot about that FLOL best cover, can tDR print that shit up with the words embossed? Would pay $80. i cant breathe
  6. did he remaster this track? can't recall if the name was changed. 24 ems-alias mgroove.mp3 5.4MB 24 alias mgroove.mp3 12.7 MB No, the original file I have from when it first came out is silent when combined with this new version inverted. They're identical.
  7. Damnit guys You have to listen for the subtle timbral modulations and stuff

That is the most metaphorical thing I have ever heard with my ear holes
  9. i've never paid fucking $30 for a t-shirt in my entire life and never will (unless it's iddim as fuck)
  10. Yeah I was thinking this this morning that lots sounds like it's taking only a wet reverb signal and applying an envelope to it or using it for granular like you said. And that the extreme stereo widening at parts is from dissimilarities in grain clouds in each stereo field and they can modulate wideness by increasing dissimilarity (Sorry if obvious I'm still new to this) Side thought, Sean said they never use randomness because it sucks, but what's wrong with using random LFOs for subtle modulations, and randomness in general within timbres as opposed to sequencing? 11. It's so watery but simultaneously thick and meaty like engine oil. Stupid comparison I just love it. SO good.
  12. So do AE use Max/MSP for sound synthesis or just controlling external peripherals? I've been learning Max/MSP and reading on how to make high quality sounding synths and apparently it's riddled with issues including aliasing, scheduler slop dropping events, and things like that. Is this the case? And if so, how are these problems alleviated? Clever programming?

I'm just in awe at both AE_LIVE and elseq, every sound is just so lush and thick somehow and when it's not thick it's tactfully thin. Dumb description but whatever Every synth growl and bassline is just so meaty sounding. And the drums with these pre-trigger delay roll things are just so fucking tasty AE_LIVE and elseq are the current pinnacles of electronic music
  14. cheetaht2 god yes Holy fuck I stopped listening after about a minute because I want to save this to savour it when I have the entire album. SO LUSH
  15. Really awesome essay and it really applies to all psychedelics not just cannabis
  16. Here are the comments on the uchoob track, in pdf format https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1Hq4-4ToMUdVklMTVFRRXFrUTQ/view

My view on the elseq poster is that it's the same as the limited edition Syro glass and metal thing - an expensive TDR product that is only vaguely related to the musicians themselves and therefore not worth the price except for potential resale value.

No definitely not just you, Quaristice in particular for me has really changed. I already loved it but I just for some reason feel a million times more aware of all the beautiful and subtle timbral modulations, as well as having an even greater appreciation of awkward timings in some tracks like Perlence Range 7

It's beautiful and it's disappointing how many people don't even bother to look out their window. Honestly any time I look out I'm just in awe. Love standing by the toilets and stretching and staring out the window when a nice cloud walks by. There are some great sunset moments that I still remember that I never managed to get pictures of. But yeah. It's surprising how you don't see pics like this more often because millions of damn people fly every day I mean wtf? A really great view from above is Iceland. It's mesmerizing. And when you're landing in Seattle and you pass Mt. Rainier so close that it just engulfs the view from the window. Beautiful. tl;dr Airplane views My favorites I've taken http://imgur.com/a/FFP3w
  21. According to that interview posted earlier, the Ryan Wyers kid who did the video has autism. And RDJ has aspergers to some extent (right?) so maybe he sort of felt fellowship with the kid and it influenced him into letting him do the video more. Just a random thought

elseq is the greatest musical creation ever Holy fucking shit the depth of textures and detail here is just astounding, how the fuck do they even do this shit. How the fuck will anyone come close, who will be able to attempt to? So far I've only properly listened to 1 and 2 in their entirety, and a couple tracks from each of 3, 4, and 5. I'm saving the rest to have my first listen in the future while high. I can't wait
