  1. Oh man, I'd love more tracks in the style of "Zenith Romancer". Is that one out in the wild? So good. (Listening back to the Teleport Regent tracks I have, I realized that one called "Orion Vomit" is a version of Z Reticuli (from Dreamhunter) but with live bass guitar. )
  2. That Datachi track sounds goooooood.
  3. Ed did another similar podcast here.. they're great. http://dmxkrew.blogspot.com/2012/04/twenty-six.html

  5. I've got it - I'll send it later today along with a bunch of other stuff.
  6. I think so. The interview that's from is from that era and that's what they focus on in the interview. The 2 Orville boxes listed might be a mistake.... I also thought he had both a Orville and a DSP4000. Here's that interview...also contains short interviews with Broadcast, Plaid and Clark https://www.dropbox.com/s/48n288zfq4hiuga/Brave%20New%20World.pdf?dl=0 I think it's safe to say he DID use a computer on Go Plastic..its in the gearlist and he talks about using Reaktor in that interview on Xltronic and he obviously used the Orville editor. But whether he did do audio editing is the question. Unless he's TOTALLY fibbing big time about this, I doubt he was doing extensive like... Telefone Tel Aviv style audio choppery. But at the same time I do think he still likes to be a bit cagey about his process... like in that recent interview ABOUT his software, there's no mention of Reaktor (or Eventide)..... whhhatt. http://www.digitaltrends.com/music/squarepusher-interview-the-software-behind-damogen-furies/
  7. Just being a dork and reading more interviews... Here's a bit from 2002: It also had a gearlist:
  8. Here's another quote from that FM interview that related to the last points being made... Also... Which is very evident in how he's mastered the QY700 and gotten deep into the Eventide boxes. In the other interview posted on xltronic he touches on how it's hard to share patches for the Orville/DSP4000 and that "ones who can afford it have no interest in using it as a synthesizer". Edit - I just thought that last bit was interesting... not saying that because he could afford an DSP4000 he had the upperhand. I agree that it was about the execution and his creativity. I remember when Go Plastic came out.... nothing else compared to it besides Windowlicker.
  9. No idea.. I remember when Ed DMX was having trouble with VSIG (on Facebook), he was direct to this thread on Muffs... maybe you could pose the question over there? Ed has the last post on there BTW. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1096141&sid=b2d2f83078964d521ee128d215583442 Would love to see your Go Plastic tribute.. that's an insane project.
  10. Figured I'd drop this here, rather than the Domgen Furies software thread... Found this interview where Tom is asked how the audio edit was done on Go Plastic. The interview is in Japanese, so here's a web-translation: It sounds like he's saying it was edited on tape... can you imagine? If anyone can read Japanese and give us a better translation, the interview is here. Some other good tidbits in there as well. http://rittor-music.jp/sound/feature/2009/10/147
  11. I believe someone is renaming existing tracks to seem like remixes of recently uploaded afx tracks. Same tactic was used with those fake Syro tracks on Soundcloud.

  13. Don't mind it. At all.
  14. Yep, this and Syro are in constant rotation!
  15. I remember Mike dropped Monolith's "Farewell Frenchman" in his Electronic Explorations mix before it came out. I could have sworn he said something like "forthcoming on Planet Mu" when the mix was posted, although now the tracklist mentions Rephlex. MORE Monolith please!!!
  16. Anubis is my JAM right now. So freaking good.
  17. That Autry! track is truly terrible, omg. The other two I can get down with...
  18. Where did that image come from? It looks less than legit.... see the patch job by the under the"7. xxx..."
