Yeah I'm not so confused about that as I am that it seems like everyone on watmm is in love with this album. Seriously every watmmer I have on facebook has mentioned this album. It's really confusing considering the nature of this website. Because BOC likes em.

I love how intense autechre fans get about discussing the music.. it becomes almost religious extremist! The opinions are so subjective.. More than any artist i've ever seen. Endlessly intriguing. Amen I found Oversteps to contain a lot of memorable moments within each song that I anticipate upon each listen, rather than a large sonic assault from beginning to end of a song. There's a section in krYlon (4:15-4:24) that makes the whole track worthwhile for me and it kind of sums up my opinion on the whole album. Small sections of freshness. I hope Exai will be like this concept + beats. !! should have called MOT - MOVE OF TEN UNMEMORABLE MOMENTS.COM

It was the first autechre I had heard... I remember how alien it all sounded, but Surripere in particular. I still really LOVE this album. There's something about how perfect the transitions between the first 5 tracks are that makes me always want to listen to the full album starting on track 1 rather than skipping to a certain track.
