  1. but why would you spend month's or years to make all those great amazing tracks to just "take a piss". Some of the track have amazing work put to them. It doesn't sound like a pisstake to me, sounds like a pretty serious solid record (at least the released EP). What is kind of non-serious is Steinvord's image or presence. I mean he has no Twitter, Facebook, no Myspace updates, anything, wereas artists take care of their own online presence which is key nowadays if you want to make it. But music wise is pretty fucking serious to me. I hope you get what i mean i'm not saying someone made them to take a piss, just that they were released as this mystery artist to take a piss. maybe someone had a few tracks lying around, decided to make a funny, and since this is quality material in the end it got released. also there are like 10 tunes in general, i really doubt it took months, let alone years. i always got the impression these were a product of one session. like a few weeks of trying to make weird acid tracks. with surprisingly solid results.
  2. i like to think my favourite artists, especially the ones around 40, have better things to do than come up with cunning plans to troll internet forums. steinvord is probably sup. isn't sup from some hispanic country anyway? makes sense.
  3. i'm pretty convinced its someone from watmm/rephlex taking a piss. i mean theres a song with a pun on read the rules, there's no myspace friends and it was initially posted here and on xltronic i believe. it all is a bit too silly. like an ultimate prank on the 'everyone-is-afx' paranoia. i doubt we'll ever know who's behind this.
  4. i think stuff like hudmo and rustie are carrying the idm torch.. for better or worse. bibio is the worst, though. go away, bibio.
  5. it's not about being hard to believe, it's just silly to come out of nowhere and be all "THIS IS AFX BELIEVE ME I KNOW THESE THINGS". are you a certified rdj spotter or something?
  6. suddenly everyone's an expert. it's not obvious. if it was obvious we wouldn't be having this conversation.

boten anna is great, you leave basshunter alone.
  8. oh, was it from that discogs czech guy? i debated whenever to get this. he's got one of the lps from autechre's lp5 in white label too which seemed weird to me. how would he end up with two partial white labels like that? plus it's silly cheap for such a rarity.
  9. zoe, why do you have to bring up your music and the fact that you're lesbian in every thread? there were so many ways to react other than 'I'm not really attracted to guys'. we get it, you make music and you like girls. it's ok. don't need to rub it in on every occasion. <3
  10. i got this because the cover art cracks me up. i'm also in love with debbie harry.
  11. definitely agree. I've told Ade this too, and he kinda hinted that it might be on the cards. But this was a while back now, so I dunno if it'd ever happen. Probably not considering that Video Club has been out since 2009 (and was really old material before that) oh cool. what did he tell you about vieo club/other stuff? as a huge fan i want to know and feel too silly to hit blacow on facebook with 'tell me everything' inquiries. i even feel silly to ask you.
  12. aaaaaand that's about it for february/march. i may get a heart of glass 7", though.
  13. i'm boring this year. i'm waiting for steinvord and clark's throttle promoter to arrive. tried buying some afx but it's ridiculously pricey and i quit my job and fuck u gies srly.
  14. When playing at the sacrum profanum festival he showed several videos of animals getting slaughtered, what looks to be an autopsy and extreme scat videos. A bit too much even for being Aphex. I wonder what the audience thought of it. The video is called "aphex twin live at sacrum profanum festival (part 4)" if you want to look it up. i think it was a video remix (lol) of the infamous 'traces of death' series
  15. omg i think its rivers cuomo or cuomo/lee collab
  16. that new neon indian blows. debut was tops. i don't get what's everyone's beef with it. it was recorded in 3 stoned weeks in winter 2008/2009 as an experiment. it's not his fault pitchfork shat their pants. i followed the whole scene since about mid 2009 and by the time it blew up it was already over so i guess the sound that got associated with the genre the most was the most bland and boring. but it was fun time in the summer of 2009. hatez gonna hate
  17. sherlock, bob's burger and misfits from the one's i'm up to date with. and i also got into the new dr who recently. i'm warming up to this is england now (loved the movie).
  18. i guess it may be that whoever is behind steinvord is under contract with hotflush/styrax. but in reality it's probably just distribution deal with rephlex or whatever. so, anyone? AMIONTOSMTHNG?
