this is sad. being a blind uberfan is one thing, but doing it with full cunciousness is a bit torturing. listening to a brand rather than the music is all in all pretty depressing. anyway, it's true. after listening to something you dislike enough times you will like it because you will get used to it. it's kinda fooling your barin thing. thats why even bands like weezer still have loads of fans. because they listen to their albums until they like it. sad. yup.

if you need drugs to 'get' music, i personally think there's something wrong there. (also don't misconstrue my words - if you wanna use drugs to enhance your listening experience, that's fine. but relying on drugs to make you like the music in the first place is a little...strange in my opinion.) don't call FBI just yet as it was just a joke. what does the FBI have to do with anything?

im a bit let down to be honest. the album starts out great but it falls flat as it goes. i had the same thing with vhs head last year. ep blew me away but whole record caught me bored sometimes. maybe my expectations for LPs are too high. or im not high enough to get it. who knows.

i recently got gescom's skull snap and rustie's sunburst. bullion's magic was ruler is, i believe, waiting for me at my parents'. it all makes my slow death from starvation due to sudden poverty much happier and 'worth it'.

lol. 12 pounds and 99 pence is very reasonable actually. music should be made worth(y) more again. some people should charge twice as much for it than they have been doing. hi grant (?) but seriously, cds and whatnot are fucking expensive. it costs so little to press this, and with electronic musicians it costs next to nothing to make. if anything, it should be cheaper. and if life's rough on you, start touring.

this months picks: midnight section by vhs head. which is probably the clearest sounding pressing i have ever bought. not even a single pop. i still loathe the hat, though. and burial's street halo. good stuff.
