That was a bonkers gig, loads of new fresh material interweaved expertly with some oldies. No live bass guitar, but it was absolutely slammin'. Not sure how 'live' the actual gig was as I never got close enough to the front to see musical gear, but it was one of the best Squarepusher gigs I've been to. Kinda soulless venue, but the sound was really good for Tom & it was decent enough, all pretty chill.
Visuals were awesome too!
Hoping someone recorded the whole thing (& shares it), but I've got a few fun short excepts on my phone as token snapshots.
I wonder if some of the fresh material will see a release soon...
Amusing side note: Francis Borgeouis, train enthusiast & underground electronic music fan was in the crowd. He seemed to not get hassled too much, but there was a selfie or 2 that I clocked.

Also if we're just making dream wish lists, a Vibert "62 Mixes for Cash" would be insane. An impossible licensing nightmare, but damn, imagine having a 8xLP monster box set of all his remixes, across all aliases, alongside bonus and unreleased content. How sick would that be?

I designed the centre label stamp artwork on this. Totally biased opinion, but a wicked & varied release with some killer remixes & great digital bonus content. Go get it!

Yeah, I was convinced it was supposed to be out at the beginning of June when I purchased it. That's what the original promo said too. Wish I'd spotted that discount code at the time. Looking forward to blasting it!

Might be blindly optimistic, but just because there's no previously unreleased stuff on here it doesn't mean we wont ever see any from that period. It's a pretty solid package with the Squarepusher Plays tunes on there. Would love it if those really early Tom Jenkinson records (Stereotype EP, Dragon Disk 2, etc) got a bit of compilation attention too... That's definitely an element of my completist side coming through though.

Got the Japanese CD, but this is great news. Things are moving with represses & extra tracks seem like they might be a possibility for other releases! 'Spose they could mostly come from rare stuff which I already have though.

OOOOooooooooohhhhhhhhh yesssssssss. That's quite a fucking banger. Definitely heard a load of stuff in this vein at the London show at HERE last year. Absolutely sick show. Can't wait for this.
