  1. hi watmm. i just moved from WV to upstate NY. i'm in a town called Batavia, it's right in between Rochester and Buffalo, near Niagara and Canada & everything. i'm editing all the music i've been busy recording over the past few months/years, this is the first thing to surface since i got in a few days ago. in WV where i was staying there was this old beat up piano i loved to play; missing keys, dull sound, pretty much a piece of crap but i loved it and most of all the melodies and sounds on this album are from that piano. so, this isn't a very focused or thought out album, this is just som
  2. My latest slumbr album, Hibernate, is finally out! Clocking in at 5 hours, it's a BEAST! This has easily been the biggest project of mine to date and it's a dream come true to see it finalized. It's a real labor of love, dedicated to all the fans who have listened to and supported slumbr over the years. You can stream and get it HERE! You can also read a review of my debut album here.
  3. 22nd May 2015 UK EXPERIMENTAL UNDERGROUND 015 SURVEY - VOLUME I After conquering Italy and France, Experimental Underground Surveys come to the UK for their next installment in Selected Underground Ambient Experimental Works. Curator: Ra Sonologyst "UK is the place where, thanks to an ingenious musician as Brian Eno, ambient music was born in 70s. The place where Industrial music was launched thanks to Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire; where always new forms of electronic music came out during last decades. So you can image my pleasure to work on a selection of experimenta

  8. https://sparkwoodrecords.bandcamp.com/album/conet-communications-workshop This is already a great follow up from is excellent debut album released just about a year ago. I like the diversity, very BoC-Esque like but that's no surprise since he's a active member in the Twoism community: the http://twoism.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=44309&sid=c1796ba81511ea5e9fb3c4de832a9055 Highly recommended!

  12. I put my drone, ambient, etc experiments out as an album in bandcamp. A little bit of warning: these lack pretty much any kind of melodic or clear rhythmic components. The may make you feel like an electric eel eating away your brain. Some are really repetitive. All done with a modular system, some other hw and Renoise + vsts. Some of them were already posted in this thread but have been remastered now. I don't know how to further describe. It's "name your price" (free). All proceedings will go to beer as always. 13. My goal was to emulate a loading dock zone in Silent Hill (hence the mechanical nature of the sounds i created) where the main character was greeted with that scary alarm and had to escape without being noticed. She makes it to the elevator where some very chill, piano music starts to play out of the speakers. (oh yeah as soon as the song ends, the lady turns into pyramid head and bangs every corpse in sight) lots of field recordings and sound manipulation (the helicopter sound was a delay preset i made) I hope you like it
  14. Experimented with some drum beats on this EP. Have a listen here https://northernplastics.bandcamp.com/album/resistance and download if you like
  15. My band is hard at work on its first lp and this is our first intro to our music. Not idm at all but I have been on the board for years so I wanted to share it with you folks. Hope ya dig! love, Atop
  16. Esa Ruoho: Riversmouth (20:44) out on Attenuation Circuit (ACM1009), http://www.wix.com/a...nuation-circuit Release on Discogs Writeup from Attenuation Circuit: "Finnish musician Esa Ruoho has been releasing experimental techno for about a decade, mainly under the name Lackluster. His real name is reserved for the more abstract, less rhythmical side of his work in electronic music. "Riversmouth", his first release on Attenuation Circuit, is a perfect example of this. There are no beats, but lots of things happening in terms of shifting shapes of granular textures, high-freq

  18. Some of you may know I'm working on a new ambient slumbr album, which is just about getting wrapped up. This is a piece that was planned to be included but that won't make it, mainly because it's very long and contains a spoken word reading of an english translation of an old Zen verse, the Xin Xin Ming by Jianzhi Sengcan, written in the 6th century. I'm still wildly satisfied with it, and figured I'd share it with my fellow ambient fans here. http://bandcamp.com/EmbeddedPlayer/album=3431457664/size=medium/
  19. So, ever since these initial recordings / jam sessions were done back in 2008 Ulver and Sunn have been namedropping and hyping this release. Even after the monster track "CUTWOODeD" which was incredibly well produced and sonically interesting, I was sure hyped as hell by seeing an album full of this style coming up. Now, after more then 5 years it's finally coming, and I couldn't be more dissapointed. The whole album has leaked already and this is my initial reaction to the first listening session: I'll still give this a few more spins but, meh :( so, any thoughts on this? More in

  23. I recently gathered together my various on-off tracks and compiled them together into this: http://spectral.bandcamp.com/album/back-catalogue-vol-3 Since there's no thematic connection, all the tracks are very different, but mostly lean towards dark drones, ambient and weird experimental noises. Although there are some melodies in there too :) Feel free to download - i also added a .pdf with my recent glitch-art experiments to go with music.
