Experiments in industrial-noise soundscapes. Love the first experimental acid track a lot. Really digging this. ''Force Majeure’s self-titled six-track debut LP of noisy soundscapes, illbient beats and experimental techno drops as a digital release on French label Concrete Collage on 13 April 2022. This short LP traverses a dark path into noisy and dense layers of processed sound – brooding and powerful in its intent, but still retaining some intricacy and dynamics.''

Hey! Just finished up our RPM challenge, and wanted to share with you all. It starts out with more “normal” electronic music and then descends into experimental noise and ambient chaos. Inspired by the writings of Rick Remender, specifically Black Science- traveling thru alternate layers of reality like an onion. It’s free to download here: https://ccundefined.bandcamp.com/album/nacreous-allium The challenge info is here: https://www.rpmchallenge.com Thanks for checking it out! Enjoy!

https://tokinogakecollective.bandcamp.com/album/202109 https://tokinogakecollective.bandcamp.com/album/202108 https://tokinogakecollective.bandcamp.com/album/202105 there's another release i was too lazy to embed...but basically this is a few musicians, some of which i'm fans of (IKTS, nankotsuteacher, etc.) who are just compiling i guess sorta collaborative stuff and weird bits together into these kinda wild albums. i've only grabbed one so far but they've all got choice bits in there. definitely more on the experimental tip, but really there's a little bit of something for everyone. getting some sorta ICASEA/Gescom vibes at times.

this one came out a few months ago on SUPERPANG and i've been listening to it a hell of a lot. it didn't terribly impress me on first blush, but it's one of those that really reveals itself on further listens: lots of dark ambience/noise/drama but never cheesy or tryharding to be 'soundtrack' stuff or whatever, but also not full on weird/experimental like a lot of SUPERPANG hits me as. feels wrong tagging it as 'ambient' just cause there's no beats because it's really anything but background music. anyway, will probably be on my top 10 this year, really worth checking out imo https://tomhall.bandcamp.com/album/failed-attempts-at-silence

I'm not familiar Novi_sad, but today sees the release of his first album for Raster. Already loving this. Field recordings intermingle with diaphanous tones, sometimes punctuated by moments of noise. Oceania starts off the album with processed field recordings, soon delivers a gut punch, before the relaxing again. One of those tracks that will give you a jolt if you've got your music on shuffle. I've been very impressed with the direction Raster has taken since the dissolution of Raster-Noton.

Noticed that there aren't really any JC-L threads on here so I thought I'd make one cause I find his music absolutely mesmerising (his In Summer EP and Songs of Forgiveness album in particular). - Does anyone have any his physicals or has anyone been to one of his shows?

I am starting a new radio show, the first episode is tonight, 9pm GMT via https://soundartradio.org.uk/ "The Tump Clump" is just an hour, once a month, of mainly new music I have discovered from all over the place. A mix of vinyl / digital and me chattering. Taking in noise, drone, improv, experimental, industrial, techno and even some sludge drone metal stuff this time. Basically, my usual melting pot (if anyone has read my zines its like that) This was recorded in my shed. Due to covid restrictions still in place - live broadcasting is not possible for everyone yet from the real studios. I recorded it live in one take and you can tell as I fluff up a few times and my vocals are quiet / mashed a bit with the vox I added. Hey ho. A learning experience. The music is the key. From the studios I plan to do live vinyl mixes plus I want to do a live techno/noise jam with my hardware. And I am allowed phone interviews too if anyone fancies it - lol - no swearing tho. Artwork by the fantastic blackcloudsummoner - I feature one of the collaborative tracks with Territorial Gobbing under the WET MIRROR name. Always looking for new tunes to play in future shows so HMU. Shows will go up on Mixcloud after - Ill stick links up here after. Cheers Soloman Tump

Myself (as Soloman Tump) and Stone Jaw followed up our 2020 split, and created a socially distanced collaborative dungeon synth/noise/drone/weird thing that we christened Clairvont. We each worked independently on layers of sound, not knowing what the other was preparing, only guided by a rough duration. Sounds like it could be a complete clusterfuck, right?! Well, actually it turned out to be semi-cohesive and it helped us come up with the project name and premise. We layered our sections, and with some simple volume / EQ control, The First was created.

Picked this up this week. New band for me, although they were active back in the last decade and broke up in 2008. This music is emotionally crushing - maybe not the sound you want to hear in current times. Still amazing. Boomkat describe it best. https://boomkat.com/products/going-places-390db797-a1cb-433d-ac4a-63aeb8652548
