Also, a companion cassette of alt tracks, called Beneath The Lower Lights available at https://pitp.bandcamp.com/album/beneath-the-lower-lights on cassette tape/digital. Sorry I missed posting this earlier when more vinyl colour stock was available, but I figured better to post it now to give the watmm peeps a chance to grab the vinyl before it's gone. Cheers!

  4. SYNE is the new alias of Dennis Huddleston (AKA 36), who is likely to be a familiar name to those of you who follow the modern ambient scene. The SYNE label is dedicated to his techno/dancefloor orientated productions, where wistful strings and drifting pads meet vintage drum machines and 808 basslines. From the melodic, midnight electronics of "SYNE 2", to the thunderous dread march of "SYNE 5", culminating in the moody Blade Runner-esque vibes of "SYNE 8", the SYNE LP is sure to find its place with lovers of deep, emotional techno music. It's gonna be pressed on 2xLP vinyl and will be available to order soon from https://www.juno.co.uk/products/syne/654999-01/ Here's one of the tracks from the release. Juno has samples of the rest. https://soundcloud.com/3six/syne-syne-2 Cheers :)

  6. preorder link out [email protected] This is the story of a nameless astronaut, drifting alone in the vast emptiness of space. No window to return home, although every world he is visiting could be one... A living stasis, with all hope lost. All that endures are his thoughts and the fleeting memories of another life... A time when love and hope still remained in his heart. Each artist on this album has recorded their own interpretation of this tale, inspired by their own unique experiences and imagination. Combined with you, the listener, they form the complete story. Feelings like loneliness, longing and love are often hard to translate into words. Perhaps that is why music is so close to our hearts. It resonates within all of us and speaks the words we don't always know how to share. I hope you enjoy listening to this record as much as I enjoyed compiling it. -Vagon Brei. ------------------------------------------ VISIONS COMPILATION Limited to 300 copies. Black 180gr vinyl. 7. 36 - Tomorrow's Explorers EP Released Monday 30th January 2017 on 3six Recordings Limited 12" vinyl and digital https://www.juno.co.uk/products/36-tomorrows-explorers/636783-01/ Tracklisting: A1 Poekhali A2 Black Horizon B1 Orphans Of The Sky B2 Tomorrow's Explorers Duration: 38 minutes. Press release: We're living in a unique time in history. Most of our planet has already been traversed and catalogued by people who have come before us. Earth, at least from a geographical perspective, has few discoveries left for us. The true unknown lies in the worlds beyond our own. It's likely that in the next few decades, humans will finally have the means to take our first tentative steps on the surface of our neighbouring planet, Mars. We will be the first known species that has both the knowledge and the desire to transcend our existence beyond our home planet and expand further into space. There may even be people alive today whose children will be born on a planet that isn't called Earth. For them, the concept of "home" has a very different meaning to our own. They will be Tomorrow's Explorers, redefining what it means to be human, whilst retaining the very thing that makes us so - our unquenchable thirst to explore the unknown. "Tomorrow's Explorers is the follow-up to my 2015 EP 'Sine Dust'. Usually when I finish a record, I draw a line under it and move onto the next concept, with the explicit desire to do something different. After 'Sine Dust', I felt that there was more of a story to tell. Space is a pretty big place! Whereas 'Sine Dust' was a 100% synthesiser-based record, 'Tomorrow's Explorers' expands the sound gamut considerably, introducing heavy string-based sections, that work alongside the synths and pads to create expansive, enveloping walls of sound. This culminates in the 13 minute title track, which I feel is one of my most audibly rich, melodically complex tracks to date. Drawing influence from every other record I've made, whilst taking the sound to new and unfamiliar places, 'Tomorrow's Explorers' is sure to please fans both old and new. The endless themes of space have been explored countless times by artists in the past. It's a limitless source of inspiration for many of us and always a joy to discover. As usual, I hope you enjoy where it takes you." -36 All tracks written & produced by 36 Artwork & design by Patrick Bunn & 36 Mastered by Rafael Anton Irisarri @ Black Knoll Studio, New York --------- https://soundcloud.com/3six/tomorrows-explorers-ep-preview-3sixep003 +++++++

  12. Hello all. 3six Recordings is pleased to announce the new 36 EP "Pulse Dive" which will be available on limited 12" vinyl (100 copies) and 24bit digital, exclusively from www.3six.net in January 2015. Keep an eye out for it! https://soundcloud.com/3six/pulse-dive-ep-preview "The title track "Pulse Dive" is a personal favourite of mine, which I have kept under wraps for a while, but now is the time to release it. I actually started the track 5 years ago during the "Hollow" era, and it was originally going to be the first track on that album. I eventually scrapped it, as that album morphed into it's own thing and this tune felt like an anomaly. I didn't forget about it though and each year since, I went back to it, slowly adding bits, re-working existing sections with new-found production knowledge, replacing the bits that didn't work etc.. It was basically a long-term experiment for me, but I made a conscious effort during the closing months of 2014 after the death of a friend to finish the track and draw a line under it. The realisation of your own mortality is an amazing catalyst for wanting to finish something. In the end, about 80% of the final production was done in the last week of October! It's funny because despite working so long on it, I was adamant not to make it sound over-produced and I wanted to hang on to those initial vibes, which I felt 5 years ago when I wrote the very first notes. It's a special track for me. I wear my influences on my sleeve with it, but it's still a very personal tune, and I'm so happy to finally get it out there. In contrast, "Stasis Eject" was written in only a few days. Compared to "Pulse Dive", which I felt was a very energetic, upbeat track, this is a much more sombre, ultra-introspective tune, giving a nod to some of my more famous pieces of music in the past, with a wink towards the future. For me, when making it, it gave me visions of stepping out of the Nostromo and seeing the Derelict for the first time. Something so grand, so majestic. A black, alien vastness. It's something I try to do a lot in my music, but with this tune, I felt for the first time that I really succeeded. It's a dark piece of music for sure, but still very human to my ears. Finally, "Sky Fire" ends the EP with a simple, very pretty melodic piano-centric tune. The pads were played live, almost as a kind of jamming session. I have been doing a lot more live (or pseudo-live as I prefer to call it) work over the past year, starting with my last album "Dream Tempest". There's this certain vibe from the moment that is lost if you obsessively program and quantize everything you make and sometimes it's better just to let the brain disconnect and let the heart take control. Any mistakes I just left in. It felt like a fitting end to the EP. Less intense than what came before, a kind of sign-off." - 36 The digital version includes the bonus track "Stasis Eject (Version)" which is a 12 minute extended remix of the original. www.twitter.com/3sixrecordings www.facebook.com/3sixrecordings
