B12 - Time Tourist (2xLP Expanded Edition) https://bleep.com/b12-time-tourist?utm_source=Bleep&utm_campaign=29085223e1-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_10_10_12_52&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_db8ca97389-29085223e1-569566 - Gold vinyl - 8pp booklet - A5 sticker sheet - DL card includes 4 previously unreleased bonus tracks Bonus Level 12" (Bleep Exclusive) - Bleep Exclusive - Hand-stamped white label 1 Scriptures (Lost Mix) 2:43 2 Silicon Garden (Likemind Mix) 6:43 3 DB5 (Original mix) 2:43 4 Infinite Lites (Original Mix) 6:47 ------------------------------------------------------------- Warp travel back to the lost futures of 1996 with this first-ever reissue of Time Tourist, the second album from the pioneering ambient techno producers B12. Housed in an evocative Designer’s Republic sleeve based on a classic Trevor Webb airbrush painting, the sleevenotes of Time Tourist elude to the project as soundtracking a dystopian future society that’s looking back at the primitive past, evident from its strong references to Blade Runner, Philip K. Dick and Star Wars. Each track on Time Tourist continues the outer edge excavations that made B12’s debut album, the Detroit inspired science fiction of Electro Soma (album 4 in Warp's Artificial Intelligence series) such a mind-warping experience, yet the concepts here are arguably stronger, with the album originally designed as an educational soundtrack designed by the 22nd-century company “B12 Systems” Upon its original release, Time Tourist looked further out than most of B12’s AI peers to the outer space narratives that played such important role within the origins of techno that were built within the late 80's and early 90's landscape of Detroit. As such, they reached levels of science fiction escapism few others have rarely surpassed. Having dug through their archive, B12 also offer us a glimpse of a new route through the alternative reality once travelled by the Time Tourist. The epic skyline of 'Scriptures' and 'Infinite Lines' get transported to new planets with these fascinating FX-laden dub versions, while the Likemind mix of 'Silicon Garden' steps further down the path towards Jazzy liquid techno. Before the soundtrack elements of 'DB5' are pulled to the surface with all the underground insanity of an Andrzej Korzynski soundtrack. As a cultural document, Time Tourist is an evocative reminder of a time when electronic music really did hold the keys to the future. Yet with this newly reissued edition, we'd say there has never been a better time to take a tour of B12’s truly, timeless techno. Consider the Time Tour complete.
  4. hello how is the sky? I want to share with you the next release on my label art-aud that will be released next month, in the trust that some of you could appreciate the record in question is a four track ep composed by alastair johnson between 96 and the new millenium, and dusted from old DATs. he really did few things with the alien alias in that era and then kinda disappeared. we are happy so to have had the opportunity to find him and bring this beatiful material back to light today in super addition, the three originals are accompanied by a long trip interpretation by the masterminds B12! the 180gr. vinyl, in a beauty-weirdo full printed cover, will be distributed by clone and available in the online stores, and directly from us (for digital heads too) any kind of feedback and support is very welcome respekt! clips: pre-order: https://art-aud.bandcamp.com/album/unreleased-96-00

  13. New Release From B12 B12 ft. Yonii - In Vain Nice to see B12 now has a Bandcamp Page https://firescoperecords.bandcamp.com/album/fs006-in-vain The EP entitled In Vain is the first EP featuring B12 and the wonderful singer songwriter Yonii. These are real songs, with real meanings and are the the result of a pure and wonderful collaboration The tracks tell a story, and with open ears and heart they will deliver the message clearly “Sympathy” A very acoustic sounding drum and percussion arrangement held together with glorious B12 esq Pads is the opener here. The vocals elevate this track to another level, with a dangerous equilibrium of vulnerability and distain. “Shotgun” Straight in with a heavy synth baseline and lyrics. A menacing track featuring a vocal that floats effortlessly on a downtempo B12 vibe. An exposed interplay of rhythmic melodies and dark imagery. “Moth” A busy beat and synth driven backdrop provide the platform for Yonii to tell her story of love and pain. Is it all in Vain? Why must we gravitate towards the flame that ultimately extinguishes us…. “Sympathy (Beatz)” & “Moth (Beatz)” Just the Beatz of the main tracks :-) Finished in glorious white and green splatter vinyl with exclusive full colour artwork by the wonderful Catherine Prendergast AKA Cellar Door FireScope Records like its parent label B12 Records - A label core to the UK techno scene with roots starting in the early 90’s launched by Michael Golding and Steven Rutter, will exist in conjunction with B12 Records and has the same ethos, quality music, quality packaging, without compromise and a product that will stand the test of time. FireScope will diversify somewhat, not just deep meaningful techno, but also techno with vocals, real songs with real meaning. credits releases March 20, 2017

  16. Steve Rutter of B12 sent out a mail to announce he has old stock for sale. He's selling leftover B12 records in various versions (coloured vinyl, test pressings and white labels). Here's what he sent; Hello everyone ! You may have seen the Facebook/Twitter posts regarding the legacy B12 vinyl that will be for sale I want to keep this fair as possible and I want these records to be in collectors hands and not resold at inflated prices. I will do my best to make sure this happens. Anyway first off as this will take a bit of time, and I have been swamped with emails please could you join this temporary mailing list specifically for people interested in this sale. I can then make sure that you all get updated at the same time with whats available and progress. http://eepurl.com/bX49gn Thank you .... He already sent out a list with prices, based on average Discogs prices.
  17. Steve Rutter sent out a mailing announcing FireScope, a new sublabel of B12. Following the two recent B12 records, two more are to come out on this label in the following months. Also announced is Kinestatics, which is Steve Rutter with Karla Hajman. http://www.firescope.co.uk/ Love the -somewhat corny looking- website, just like the original one. Nice to see B12 so active again, though I'm guessing Mike Golding is out of the picture this time...
  18. New EP & Remixes Out Now… Remixes From B12 Nonima Floating Spirits Min-Y-Llan Tom Roberts Surface 10 James Murray It’s sometimes hard to recognise when it actually is Christmas. Especially when the recent spate of quality releases on the Touched Music label make it feel like presents are raining down upon us all. But I can assure you that time of year is upon us all once more and to make things extra festive is an EP from Abereiddy Astronomical Society. Putting this on for the first time I turned my attention to other work, that which required concentration and little distraction. The first half of this EP greatly relaxed me, giving throwback feelings to teenage years listening to ambient works. You know something is successfully ambient enough when it’s non-intrusive but produced so well that you tend to notice every little detail without trying. Completing my other tasks it was apparent to me that I’d not noticed the passage of time. Spinning it up again I thought of other releases with stellar themes - Tomita’s reworking of Holst’s The Planets, Aleksi Perälä’s Astrobotnia series, Stars Of The Lid - and realised I could easily be auditioning any part of one of them, not really caring about what I was listening to but at the same time contemplating greater things. That’s the beauty of this EP, it’s a real concentration helper, something which is very welcome in a sea of musical output sometimes so complex that you feel you’d need some extra ear cells just to hear it properly. And just when I thought it couldn’t get more agreeable, a slew of remixes follow from the likes of B12, exm, Nonima, Floating Spirits, James Murray, Surface 10, Tom Roberts and Touched Music’s very own founder Min-Y-Llan. If anything this is going to be a fantastic and welcome way to drown out the noise of arguing families this coming week. Words by Alexander Shum Get it here Pay What You Like. 20. A compilation of electronic music, available for free / pay-what you choose - raising money & awareness for Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) Available here: http://musicsansfrontiers.com/ Featuring new & exclusive tracks from B12, Plaid, Nightwave, Milanese, Shadow Dancer, Global Goon, Radioactive Man, Jokers of the Scene, Hrdvsion, Posthuman and many more. This is the second charity compilation I've done, was really proud of 2011's Acid Relief (which raised money for the DEC), and this time I've doubled the target to £2000. MSF is a charity I've always supported personally - totally impartial, apolitical and non-religious: just humanitarian & medical aid where it's needed.
