A new Tipper album, 'nuff said. Highly recommeded, not as crunchy and IDMish as Forward Escape and Jettison Mind Hatch, but cool nonetheless.

Skittering beats, glitchy scratchy nastiness, discernible Autechrean influences, and a couple of tracks with King Kashmere on rhyme duty. Bandcamp has only one track, Juno has clips. I'll wait until full release, but tentatively recommended.

I saw that there was a general hip hop thread but I wanted to make one to highlight verses from some heavyweight rhyme writers to use a phrase from Ghostface Killah These are some of my favorite verses from hip hop songs. What are some of yours? This one takes the cake for me. Had a lot on my mind lately, between being on furlough for COVID-19 since mid-March, to watching a revolution start in my hometown after cops murdered an innocent man in broad daylight, while meanwhile our fascist president gives zero fucks. Disenchanting times for sure and I wanted to create a mix that captured this current zeitgeist, with all the uncertainty and instability through broken & off-kilter rhythms, hazy synths, and disenchanted rhymes... In the end I'm really happy with how this mix turned out. Seen a few reviews popping up in the weeks since I first saw it, but none of them really have any more information on actual real time usage or live demos; all we're shown is the video above and some links to performances where it's assumed a version of the software was used. I'm quite sure this guy isn't blowing smoke, but I'm also not sure how useful/good this will actually be once it's complete.
