  1. Sweet, they landed on Warp. A compilation of their Folklore Tapes tracks. https://bleep.com/release/78524-children-of-alice-children-of-alice http://childrenofalice.com
  2. So some of you have been fans of my mixes since I started posting here 10 years ago and for that I am forever grateful. As you may know, I have a penchant for the creepy and supernatural, and have been making annual Halloween mixes nearly every year since 2005. I took a couple years off to work on my other major undertaking Smash TV and thus wanted to give something back to the fans of the truly chilling stuff this year. So I'll be live streaming a BRAND NEW 5 hour mix tomorrow on Mixlr for all you ghouls and goblins out there. Here are the details: CREEPSHOW Wednesday, October 30th 7:00p-12:00a Eastern Time http://mixlr.com/smash-fm/ I'll be chillin' out in the Mixlr chat, gettin' drunk, watching scary movies, and delivering some creeptastic music to you fine folks. Come hang out and get weird with it. Maybe we can get a CHATMM party going. Hope you can tune in. Here are some of my previous Halloween mixes for the uninitiated. http://www.mixcloud.com/sparklemotion/outpost-31/ http://www.mixcloud.com/sparklemotion/at-the-mountains-of-madness/ http://www.mixcloud.com/sparklemotion/angel-of-the-bottomless-pit/
  3. So Warp is finally reissuing Broadcast's discography. It's about time! http://warp.net/news/vinyl-albums-repress/ https://bleep.com/broadcast
  4. The Hatcliffe House Tapes - Vol. 7 - Incidental Moments And Accelerated Fusion OUT NOW! https://indifferentspace.bandcamp.com/album/the-hatcliffe-house-tapes-vol-7-incidental-moments-and-accelerated-fusion In Volume 7 we tune into mysterious channels. Side A continues on from where Volume 6 left off, with New Wave vibes, squelching getting more intense as the side progresses. Where as Side B takes you on journey into Dream Pop and Chiptune culture, very much inpired by the late great band "Broadcast" who have been a massive inspiration on me.
  5. Did we sleep on this one? Very much in the Trish Keenan tradition of 60 psych, Ghost Box spookiness. CD comes with a bonus disc of 4 exclusive tracks. I'll be picking it up tomorrow at Rough Trade. It's a holiday so anyone want a watmm shopping trip? They have a bar. Brick Lane should be jumping. https://deathandvanillamusic.bandcamp.com/album/to-where-the-wild-things-are
  6. For your amusement: Is the population of WATMM a bit 'goody'? My transmission tells me the average WATMMer would rather spend time at the supermarket, sampling foodstuffs then allowing the echo to exist... I dived into these connotation in search of linkage between the band and my transmission, but the linkage was like a stubborn atheist with little faith in the matrix. I got lost and felt like just another contributor to the 'goody' WATMM nation. My employer held a launch , but once again it was like an atheist at the supermarket, rising against the echo. Advertising makes a plug for champagne, and the atheist rising fights against the average WATMM contributor, tying previous posts on this site to compare against the feeling of obligation tailored towards the matrix of this message board. WAKE UP, PEOPLE
