The world's best BoC-alike artist (though I feel the constant comparison does him a disservice) has just released a new record, with cover art by DJ Food: Definitely a darker/heavier record this time with more unusual melodic and rhythmic structures on a few tracks. As well the vocals are more obscured and mangled than the previous works. The vinyl appears to be sold out but there are still some cassette copies: https://clocolan-cis.bandcamp.com/album/this-will-end-in-love Here is the track 'We Are The Descendants' from the LP:

Haven't done many bc subscriptions, but CiS has one of the strongest subscriber libraries I've seen, and it keeps getting better, for 9 quid you get a lot for your money. https://cissublibrary.bandcamp.com/album/six-twenty-negative https://cissublibrary.bandcamp.com/album/mysteries-and-prophecies-of-the-strega https://cissublibrary.bandcamp.com/album/myriad https://cissublibrary.bandcamp.com/album/bernard-grancher-aveugle-etincelle https://cissublibrary.bandcamp.com/album/land-of-the-lakes https://cissublibrary.bandcamp.com/album/an-evening-with-the-home-current https://cissublibrary.bandcamp.com/album/crystal-world https://cissublibrary.bandcamp.com/album/lo-five-geography-of-the-abyss https://cissublibrary.bandcamp.com/album/drew-mulholland-a-haunting-strip-of-marshland https://cissublibrary.bandcamp.com/album/field-lines-cartographer-modalities-of-time-travel

Some Plaid-ish vibes in HOT POTS 3 and 8, a nice melodic album overall.

Not the typical sound you'd expect from JS, more melancholic sound based on found childhood photos. Kind of a BOC vibe in some places. Divided Time by Jonathan Sharp

I've had a few LPs out before which were (very) briefly mentioned around these parts before so I thought I'd drop a line about the latest one. This is from the Norman Records website... 'Heat Death’ marries conceptual elements of decaying life with heavenly electronic music soundscapes. A stirring mix of IDM, ambient, downtempo and ambient techno is on full display here, as the atmospheric melodies and rhythmic pulses conjure dwindling form with a touch of catharsis. Fans of Boards of Canada, Arovane and Plaid should enjoy ‘Heat Death’ a tonne. Available as download or limited vinyl (label has very few copies left) on bandcamp. Having sold out it should be restocked by Norman Records, Rough Trade, and Juno before long. Heat Death by DALHAM
