  2. New 180g 6LP set with 'deluxe packaging', 48-page hardback book, etc. It's got the original album, the bonus stuff that appeared on the 10th anniversary deluxe 2CD, and a bunch of new remixes by other artists. I've avoided grabbing Endtroducing on wax as the repress was handled by Back to Black, and those guys are notorious for just using the cd masters. Looks like my patience has paid off! Don't care too much for the guest remixes, but everything else is enough to warrant my investment. www.djshadow.com

  4. http://djshadow.com/MpcEra I haven't been to into Shadow's more recent material, but being raised on Entroducing and a fan of the 90s Solesides stuff this looks like a wet dream. Really interested as to what the early version of 6 Days sounds like too. His "4-track Era" releases that preceded this are also pretty damn good if you likes the late 80s early 90s pre-jiggy boom bap herp derp - Bob Dobalina
  5. the better had a long car ride today and listened to it twice. i wanted to like it. seems like the homie josh has run out of ideas. I was expecting more with all that gear, time and one of the best record collections on planet earth. silly me it's well produced, some nice drums but overall it's lacking innovation, experimentation, feeling and just left me cold. As if he is playing it safe and repeating himself. If i have have to lump him into a category o it's either "instrumental hip hop" and or electronica /breakbeat. so as benchmarks I will use j dilla or quasi modo on the right and i dunno, aphex twin, chris clark on the left. he ain't nowhere near any of those guys with regard to quality. Dude should try hiring a band next time around,or just try something different. It's like he's painted himself into a corner.
  6. Im going to see DJ Shadow in a couple of weeks time, and apart from Endtroducing I do not really know much about the rest of his back catalogue. I know he has a new album out (hence the tour) which I will pick up this week, but what else should I check out?
  7. anyone hear this yet? i'm over half way into it and i think it deserves a bit more credit than what critics are giving it. it reminds me of the private press.
