  1. And here's a video of his performance on that show (embedding prohibited): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0BIMO6LG0E
  2. Depeche Mode have done an amazing cover of David Bowie's "Heroes" for it's 40th anniversary. I like this song better than anything on Depeche Mode's latest album, TBH. They've been playing this live on their tour, but the produced version sounds the best I think. Gore's guitar playing is sublime, as always.
  3. Surprised nobody mentioned it yet ! Just stumbled upon this sweet EP today. I guess it's the 3 tracks that were supposed to be released along with the recording of the Lazarus musical. It's been released for Bowie's 70th birthday (and today is the anniversary of his death ). The tracks were recorded during the Blackstar sessions and share a lot with the LP material. No Plan especially is beautiful. I did not read about a physical release of this EP tho, I'd love to own it, it'd be a nice addition to Blackstar. Also, music video for the title track :

  7. look at that orange slab of yummy heathen vinyl http://www.vandashop.com/Heathen-Exclusive-Limited-Edition-Orange/dp/B00DBX5T9U?field_availability=-1&field_browse=1960008031&field_keywords=bowie&field_product_site_launch_date_utc=-1y&id=Heathen+Exclusive+Limited+Edition+Orange&ie=UTF8&refinementHistory=subjectbin%2Cgeneric_text_9-bin%2Cgeneric_text_1-bin%2Cprice&searchKeywords=bowie&searchNodeID1=1960008031&searchPage=1&searchRank=relevancerank&searchSize=12 it says out of stock, and limited to 500.. weird cuz this was just now posted on bowies fb page... either it already sold out, which seems crazy it's not quite up for sale yet..
  8. "At the point where Plug’s “Drum’n'bass For Papa” intersects with oldschool rave jungle and freaked out jungle/d’n'b influenced IDM from the old masters is where the newest release from Bludclot Recordings dwells. “The Next Jung(list)” is a tongue & cheek affair from start to finish, it is also jam packed with undeniable retro-forward thinking jungle wickedness. Simultaneously laughing off and embracing jungle for jungle’s sake, he manages to throw some loose acid vibes and chin-stroking IDM in the blender with huge distorted kick drums and noise from more breakcore realms, then drizzlies the mixture over choice breakbeat workouts that make you wanna shuffle your feet as much as sit back and twist one up. To fully appreciate the release, take a gander at this laugh of a write-up in relation to the release and its cover artwork." THX EKTRS
