  1. Ice Cold Soundcloud Link I'm looking for support/interest/enjoyment of a mix I spent a lot of time on the past couple months. I know this message board is probably partial to this style of music but I tried to make it as tasteful as possible. There's another mix up on my page the WATMM'ers would probably like more which has a more wide variety of tunes including a nice IDM bit towards the end (The Rated E For Algorhythm Mix). But today I'm promoting this dubstep in hopes people here will keep an open mind and find some interesting sounds! You know the drill, slap a like and follow on Soundcloud and I'll check out your page in return. I also have 170+ original tunes uploaded. Ty and bless up my twiddlers! Here's the full track list
  2. Limited edition (25 pcs) dubplate as the first release on Wombat Funk, two tracks of horizon painting melodic drum'n'bass - released on Monday 6th, available later in digital. Recommended.
  3. Sam Black's first full album, a bit of everything, but nice. Recommended.
  4. Some really nice dnbish rhythm programming and harmonics on this, deep but snappy. Recommended.
  5. A grab bag of IDM, ambient and DnB from Love Horses, The Jaffa Kid, Whylie and Bot1500.
  6. A vertiable cornucopia of electronics from ambient through breaks to techno - and more. Recommended.
  7. Not sure this is the correct thread for a dump like this (a new member here), but I didn't find any other suitable threads, so here we go. Few of my latest tracks. If you happen to like 'em, please check out the rest of the selection as well. I also have a Bandcamp account, if someone prefers that: https://tomikokki.bandcamp.com/
  8. Automaton 2 is the followup to 2016's Automaton 1. These are some of the first thoughts of an AI becoming sentient. This EP is full of energy, color, and detail. While pulling inspiration from multiple genres (acid, dnb, et al), this release strives to fill every second with activity by using techniques both familiar and new. Previews are available on Soundcloud and Youtube: https://soundcloud.com/william-s-braintree/automaton-2-preview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OraOv50lgIo Due out on May 17th via Bandamp. http://williamsbraintree.bandcamp.com
  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUWAQWPSgao https://soundcloud.com/heartdrive/heart-drive-presents-aut0mated/ Heart Drive is a collaborative effort between dBridge & Kid Drama. Kid Drama is half of the group Instra:Mental (the other half being Boddika). Together dBridge & Instra:Mental created this movement of techy, futuristic, minimal dnb with the "Autonomic Podcast" back in 2009-ish. After Instra:Mental split up and became Kid Drama & Boddika respectively (with Boddika getting into making modular synth techno), Kid Drama kept on with the future dnb vibes, and he & dBridge started the Heart Drive project in 2013. Heart Drive is both a podcast that showcases their original productions, and the name they use for releasing those productions on dBridge's label, Exit Records. As the episodes of the podcast went on, they started to include more & more artists, but I'm suspicious that a large number of those artists are just dBridge & Kid Drama using pseudonyms. As for the music, it's some of the freshest & most exciting electronic music I've heard in a while. It's dance music that'll slay on a soundsystem and get a whole dancefloor moving, but still maintains a tasteful, cerebral IDM aesthetic edge to it. The sound design is the kind of top notch stuff you can only get from dnb veterans, and the lush melodies are just beautiful. Episodes 1 & 4 of the podcast are definitely my favorites (posted above). Check it out, yo!

  12. Some tunes I made last week, breakbeat and braindance.Progressive stuff.Im getting there, these have been huge fun to make. I took fenix funk as model for first track. Ive been listening to some Slayer and it shows in the 2 last tracks,it got some metal inspired riff in them. Hope you ll enjoy.

  14. Hi everyone! Glad to be a part of the proceedings here, the forum looks much nicer as a member! I'm from Melbourne in Oz and have been producing all sorts of computer music for over ten years. Check it out here: http://richhipstermusic.bandcamp.com I hate to cry poor, but I'm unemployed and broke at this point in time, so any purchases are greatly appreciated! Also, I found it quite odd that 'Richard David James' wasn't accepted as Aphex Twin's real name during signup. Haha. Edit: feel free to poke fun at that 'drubass' tag! All the best, Chris.
  15. Some drill and bass [soundcloud]https://soundcloud.com/fxbip/nightkerosene[/soundcloud] [soundcoud]https://soundcloud.com/fxbip/find-me-2[/soundcloud]
  16. https://haircutsformen.bandcamp.com/album/--3 I came across this on rateyourmusic I've been digging it quite a bit this week. Kind of reminds me of Dj Krush a bit with some breaky dnb stuff going on.

  20. Pre-orders of the new album from Christoph de Babalon are available now from Love Love Records: http://tinyurl.com/q6nrhrb! Listen to album opener ‘Barely You’ for a taste: Release date: November, Friday 13th With a career spanning over two decades, Christoph De Babalon has consistently created music that stands apart from contemporaneous trends. Early 12”s such as ‘Destroy Berlin!’ on Alec Empire’s Digital Hardcore Recordings (DHR) and ‘We Declare War’ on his own Cross Fader Enter Tainment (CFET) outlet first presented his cathartic brand of noise-orientated drum & bass and his isolationist tendencies, with extensive support from the late John Peel and Thom Yorke helping Christoph achieve somewhat of an outsider-status. More recently his ability to remain separated from specific spheres of influence has allowed him to deliver uncompromising releases like the mutated conceptual album ‘Scylla & Charybdis’, as well as his diverse 2012 album ‘A Bond With Sorrow’ on Tigerbeat6, marking a departure from the chaotic flurries he was perhaps previously more known for. ‘Short Eternities’ sees Christoph once again exploring the abrasive nature of his earlier work whilst maintaining throughout the album a level of measured assuredness not often seen in this area of music. Album opener ‘Barely You’ serves as a powerful message of intent interlacing a fractured drum break with tense horror tones, whereas detailed ambient atmospheres such as those in ‘Wait For Me’ and ‘It’s Returning’ alongside the hypnotic rumblings of ‘Home is Here’ and ‘Bad Dreamer’ break apart the extremities of the album, providing an opiated atmosphere within which the album swims around. This cinematic presentation allows for a far greater impact when the climactic ‘Haunting Past’ finally hits home with its finely-tuned blend of jarring distortion and moody surroundings, followed hastily by the twisted drum breaks and writhing bass-line of ‘Fairreality’. Christoph touches upon a rich shadowy darkness akin to a handful of contemporaries such as Demdike Stare and Vatican Shadow but with a vigour that captures the anarchic spirit of early breakcore. It is the explorative and ritualistic nature of his method, combining paradoxical feelings of euphoria, introversion and explosive aggression, which truly makes Christoph’s music so compelling.
  21. Done in renoise with just the pattern editor, no automation lanes, sounds a bit drukqsyish.
