  3. Artist : Attraktta Title: Massive Irretrievable Data Loss Label: Touched Music Cat no: TM49 Format: CD/Digital Country: U.K. Artwork: Geometric Love Style: Techno/IDM/Electronica Release Date: April 20th Description. I'm off to Tokyo next week and if there's one thing I always look forward to doing in the sprawling metropolis it's walking around, immersing myself in some right old future sounds and taking everything in. And that's what Touched Music is allowing my to do this May by releasing "Irretrievable Data Loss" by Attraktta. Sorry, did you say 'data loss'? Because what I believe I'm hearing is called 'data addition'. The only thing irretrievable here is the time I spent listening to this. I'm not getting it back and I don't care one bit as it was clearly time well spent. This is bold, this is hard, this isn't trying to be anything else. You will like it or it will come out of your heaphones and throttle you until you agree. Attraktta is the brainchild of Steve Hyland, He’s one of the founders of Ai Records before setting up Concrete Plastic in 2006 the experience gathered over the last nineteen years really shines through. The production is clean, it's solid and the sounds are dirty in all the right places. It's great that it's 2018 but putting tracks like this on can take me back a good fifteen to twenty years. Sometimes you can put your finger on it - reminders of Wildplanet, LFO's 'Advance' and the style championed by Boards of Canada (only churned up in a blender and beautifully twisted). Then again sometimes you can't and it's one of the reasons I put stuff on repeat in order to try and work out my own thoughts. "MlDL" opens the album well, pretty leftfield with a lovely ethereal backing. There's some great electro here too, both "Split The Line" and "Orientfield" make me wish I could robot dance. But only if I was 300ft tall and could wreck a couple of buildings at the same time. For me the stars of the show are "Find, Replace Again" and "Gal_Pos". The former is a rolling affair that won't allow my shoulders to stay still and the latter... well let's just say it's got that sideways kind of bass that will cause people to ask you to stop dancing. Well excuse me, try putting your phone away and having it large once in a while instead. Available as a limited run of 100 CDs or as a digital download from Touched Music, get it now and continue to support this fantastic cause.
  4. Helioscence #Bandcamp page launch! This is my first official independent musical release. This is a two track e.p. in the genre of hardcore dance with elements of dub and electronica. Mixed, mastered and conceived by yours truly. I have a ton of unreleased work that will be made available to stream and buy over time. Thanks to friends and family for all the support as I open this new chapter on my creative path. https://helioscence.bandcamp.com/album/pulverizer Huge thanks to @bobbyearly for script design and @zd3strd4 for Bandcamp page design and layout.
  5. Hey folks..... Emerging out of the WATMM #massive #meetup back in Houston, Texas at Day for Night festival... myself, Kattin2, and WhitleyStriber are now doing a weekly hour-long radio show using the Discord app, in the original dfn channel, no less! (After all, this is how we met, too!) WhitleyStriber's awesome tech skills allow us three, as admin users, to play tracks in the #snareup voice channel and talk about them. Watmmers can listen live, comment in the lobby, and even contribute/join in the waffling if that suits the flow of the show... we can unmute you and allow you on to contribute in a free-flowing harmonious we-are-all-in-it-together vibe WE ARE THE DREAMERS RADIO SHOW WHAT: We waffle on about all things electronica/idm and play tracks - usually about 3 or 4 each based on the theme of the show. We have a theme every week. Unlike many other podcasts we play old stuff and well as new, live exerpts, long tracks, bootlegs etc. We mention gigs attended and upcoming too, new releases etc.. in "braindance news" WHERE: * www.snareup.com takes you to the discord lobby channel * Locate the discord voice-channel "radio-show" and join in to listen to the show * We will monitor the lobby channel chat for allowing interested listeners to contribute tracks or join in the chat. * we can unmute you if you want to add something - but you will have to put a youtube/sc link in the lobby text channel so we as admins can queue it up WHEN: 6pm Eastern Saturdays = 11pm Greenwhich Mean Time Archive:

  7. Artist: Progressive Anarchists Album: West Meets East Type: LP Style tags: psybient, progressive, postrock Media type: Vinyl LP, Digital Label: not on label [bandcamp album=1106869045 size=large bgcol=ffffff linkcol=0687f5] about the album The album "West Meets East" contains a selection of six songs in an untypical style of psychedelic music - influenced by various kinds of electronic music as well as progressive rock and post rock. The production of West Meets East has been done using various hardware synthesizers which were sometimes played using MIDI guitars and electronic wind controllers with the goal to play unknown and rare sounds in an uncommon way. The goal of the Progressive Anarchists is to compose genre-free psychedelic music with a progressive flow and rare sounds. The music may be described as a mixture of "Old School" goa trance, ambient, dub as well as post rock and even classic rock. But it isn't really anything of that - just to imagine. The vinyl release is based on a different master to satisfy the different preferences of different listeners and the characteristics of this media. It is self-released and not on label. how to get The digital version of this album is available on the most popular streaming and download platforms like Spotify, Deezer and Napster but the album can also be listened for free on Soundcloud or be downloaded on our website for free. The vinyl release may be ordered at bandcamp. Use the discount code 'psybient' to get 10% off. about Progressive Anarchists We are two guys (Paul and Thomas) from central Germany working together in our studio. The production of electronic music is more or less a hobby of us. Progressive Anarchists were originally found in the MID-1990s to release Fasttracker files. During the years, a studio has been created a DAW with different hardware and soft synths replaced the old Fasttracker. After releasing many single tracks just to provide them as free downloads over the years, we decided to release an album with six selected works on vinyl. credits Artwork: Ursula Zepter http://www.atelier-13.de/ Mastering: Mike Gruszin http://www.ellues.com/ weblinks www.progressive-anarchists.org Soundcloud Discogs Jamendo Spotify Deezer itunes if you like to support us Add any of our songs to public playlists, play them at your podcasts, write a feedback.
  8. Hey guys, My name is Peter, I'm 26, and I've been a member of the forum for about a year now. I make stuff under the name Nautical Operator, and I'm in the middle of making an album. I just finished this song which I hope to release as a single soon, and I was hoping to get some honest feedback on it. I recorded it in my bedroom by myself using Logic Pro as a DAW. It's not quite electronic music (not the beginning at least), but its very inspired by it. Like I mentioned in the title, I'm mainly influenced by Boards of Canada, Plaid, Tycho, and Porcupine Tree - but also Aphex Twin, Beck, Air, Zero 7 and more. Please let me know what you think! Thanks -Peter

  15. It’s truly ridiculous how quickly the first half of the year has gone. But that’s a good thing, because Touched Music has more releases under its belt and I have to wait less time for good things - good things like the next instalment in the Touched catalogue, “FfAtP”. This is a joint effort between Touched’s instigator Martin Boulton, AKA Min-Y-Llan and all-round good guy Floating Spirits, with some excellent remixes thrown in to boot. Listening through for the first time you wouldn’t guess this is a split EP by any means. The tracks flow incredibly well and if these two artists were political parties they should definitely form a coalition. Seamless emulation of each other never gets in the way of their respective styles. For Min-Y-Llan this is quite the departure from the melodic and for the most part happy things we have come to expect. It’s dark, moody and suspicious with great use of spoken word samples. Floating Spirits offers big sounds that are layered to perfection - it’s foot-tappingly good. There’s rarely a quiet moment and even those always have something going on. As a bonus the release finishes off with a group of remixes from other Touched contributors, as always willing to lend a hand with the great cause that is Macmillan Cancer Support. BLN, Quadrable, John Callaghan, Stoobz, AtOm AnT and exm all contribute to the latter half of the album. Hailing from Romania, The UK, Germany, The USA and The Netherlands it’s a real international roster of artists putting their unique spin on what is already a great record. Considering their impressive release history on labels such as Warp Records, Antigen Records, Concrete Plastic, Alternate Media Tapes & Hymen (just to name a few), whether they’re newcomers or returning to Touched Music it’s great to have them on board and helping out. 17. Artist : Monoform Title: Mea Culpa Label: Touched Music Cat no: TM34 Format: CD/Digital CD limited to 100 Country: U.K. Artwork: David Watson gridpattern.co.uk Style: IDM/Electronica Release Date April 1st 2017 Description "Monoform’s contribution to Touched Music may be titled with an admission of guilt, but let me assure you he’s done no wrong with what he’s created here; quite the opposite. Ten very well mixed and balanced pieces make up ‘Mea Culpa’, and it’s truly a joy to listen to. ‘Introx’ has an ambience about it, misleadingly so as it’s not representative of the rest of the album. It blends well into ’Minor Detour’ which is just that; it’s a well-thought track that ups the pace before a lesser-temped ‘Cerebral’. I’m captivated by the next four pieces, it’s easy to sit back and hear them all as separate movements of the same concerto. These could easily have been labeled “Track Parts One Through Four” and I wouldn’t have thought any differently. A darker note is adopted for the penultimate track and finally we’re offered more of the same ambience that the whole thing kicked off with. It’s so well executed that you could just hit “Repeat All” and do it all again without a care in the world. One of the most enjoyable things about this album is its structure and flow, something that appears to be a defining feature of the music coming out on Touched. ‘Mea Culpa’ isn’t just good noise, it tells a story and lets you experience it. Maybe Monoform’s guilty conscience is down to the fact he stopped at ten tracks? In any case I’ll be happy to hear what’s up his sleeves for next time." https://soundcloud.com/touched-music/monoform-on-paper-wings The album has a full preview on Friday night on Touched mixlr - Touched Mixlr Touched Music Presents Monoform - Mea Culpa Album Launch https://www.facebook.com/events/270944733351183/

  23. Waddup doodz and doodettez~ Yah, so I have this bangin' unfinished acid track from earlier in the year, but I have no proper system to check it out on (I sold my monitors 3 countries ago). I was hoping any of you with proper systems could maybe tell me what works and doesn't work, etc. I'm using pretty good headphones, but I definitely can't mix this shit properly without speakers... And also just any other positive or negative criticism is appreciated. Final note- yah, so the track is totally in that unfinished mode, and basically some parts are supposed to be longer, etc. If this track ever gets completed, it'll probably be something like 6~7 minutes long. Thank you for listening~! [sc5]286221145[/sc5]
