http://chrismossacid.../schottky-diode 'Schottky Diode' began as a bit of a laugh. originally made in the winter and spring in 2007 and 2008 mostly composed on hardware with all the usual pieces of gear ESQ1,303, 606, 101 and a few VSTi's thrown in for sounds or sampling i needed. the whole premise of the album is to do with electronic things and people, which i thought of once when i was walking out in the fields behind my house, which is a great view of the British countryside and a great view of all the kV Plyons which scatter along the countryside. One of my favourite things is uncomfortably large things; much like the Elbe Crossing pylons, the Bay of Cadiz Pylons (which was original made in these albums session but it's been since released on 12" by the 030303 crew, so if u want that track go buy the vinyl) im sure there are many more things i named things after on this release but i cant think of them all right now. if it really intrests you then google it, im sure you'll find something. as with the remastering there is still a lot of noise interference on some of the tracks. which i decided to keep in..mostly when hardware is used, my Tr-606 picks up all the noise; noisey bastard)... then i just cleaned them up a little, previewing tracks before and after the remastering there is alot of diffrence, now i am happy with how this album sounds and was meant to sound. so indulge in some 'epic' acid tracks; just make sure you have a few hours to spare. cheers chris *dictated not read* Turks and Caicos Islands - 2012
