  1. I read that somewhere - maybe here, I don't know. (I'm new here (hi)) If that is in fact true, which songs from this commercially-released album were sourced from mp3s? That sounds incredibly lazy and I find it very hard to believe. Was that just a rumor?
  2. So, as spammed over here, the Plaid boys will be debuting their first full collaborative live set with Coppé at this year's 23rpm Festival next Saturday (6th October) in London. Something a bit different for them for sure. Coppé has guest-appeared at one or two of their gigs over the years, but never a whole set together focusing just on their collaborative material until now. Coppé has something of a cult following scattered thinly all over the world (partly thanks to her splitting her time between Japan and the US over the last 20 years). This is something I've been helping her build on
  3. hi folks I'm trying to make a d e f i n i t i v e spreadsheet out of the uncomplete (but very helpful) spreadsheets that are already around, documenting the many many Autechre and Gescom remixes, comp tracks, rare tracks, leaks, etc.. The definitive archive!! Comments are enabled, so if you see something's wrong, missing, or improvable, either leave a comment on the spreadsheet or post here. ------------> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gh9WmE-Vp8vbUEPpCRMnz2PtycbNshCbo7_HDEYrK-o/edit?usp=sharing <----------- Ignore the lossy/lossless columns they're my personal checkl
  4. Usually I'd run this project solely on /r/autechre, but I've decided I'll host it here as well. If you're also a redditor, I'd recommend going here: https://redd.it/5sc95c Anyways, the following will be copy+pasted from reddit [will be fixing formatting errors, sorry if there are some]: * Check-ins: --==-- Make sure to give me some way to contact you! I'll be doing "check-ins" about every other week to see how far progress is coming along. During each check-in I'll reexplain, but basically you can send me demos / ask for help / tell me ideas you have, and I'm always up f

  6. QBLA - Smokes Remixes Following his excellent debut on Bewegung (Garment District Radio), QBLA returns with an EP consisting of 4 new remixes of Garment District Radio's excellent single, Smokes. These remixes consist of a glitched-out urban remix by Ghoul Abdul, an excellent IDM take by ERAS, some dubbed-out bliss by Bewegung regular Zander One, and a mellow downtempo take on the original by QBLA himself. credits Album artwork by Leftm (www.leftmgraphics.com) Link to Garment District Radio
  7. hello everyone, really happy to share with you guys my new album "libre arbitre". http://recycledplastics.bandcamp.com/album/libre-arbitre https://soundcloud.com/arbeemonkey/par-manque-de-temps For the final installment of the Bedroom Compost series before we enter a new year, we bring you Arbee's seductive Libre Arbitre album. Virtually bubbling over with wild sprawls of organic electronics, Libre Arbitre delivers a warm, cuddly listening experience that is perfect for Winter. Arbee's standalone style of growing alien forms from familiar electronic pastures is once again

  10. Been digging this kind of angle in regards to chiptune and 8bit music. Makes you hear and further appreciate certain songs. Granted, a few are a bit repetitive, especially ones that take out vocal parts. I tried to avoid anything that sounds like MIDI being lazily run through bitcrushers and/or lame sound banks as best as I could, but I'm no expert on the sound. Anyone else have some good finds? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FH1ccqGIxPQ&feature=related ^btw there are a ton of really good 8bit covers of black metal on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVgW
