  1. Hey WATMMites. I periodically make megamixes out of music I like, and I think many of you may enjoy these; multiple tracks or portions of tracks are layered over one another to recontextualise well known music or to create new tracks all together! here is the latest one I've put together: Sometimes these are more strictly themed, such as this 'All Aphex Soundcloud Dump' set I put together early last year: I've uploaded 7 so far which you can hear at the following link if you wish: https://www.mixcloud.com/Sweguno/ Enjoy!
  2. Literal Oasis is the debut release from Nebleena, a new IDM-centric label operating in North America and focusing upon talent from North & South America! It is run by Schematic recording artist Hydroplane and his cousin Toronto-based bioMecanico. https://nebleena.bandcamp.com/album/literal-oasis The material on here flows well and is of consistently high quality, representing many facets of what we refer to as IDM. Here's a sampler: The comp features Hydroplane and fellow Schematic artist Wake, WATMM's own ex-member Fluorescent Grey (who probably still lurks here), myself (Sweguno), and moooooooooooore! Digital is available now but in April there will be a ltd vinyl record pressing coming out as well which you can preorder! Stream/Purchase at the following link: https://nebleena.bandcamp.com/album/literal-oasis
  3. WATMM... I am pleased, after so many years of community comp tracks, to present to you my debut EP - 'Adapteras': 4 tracks of material that I think will resonate with you all! There're fast moments, slow moments, emotional bipolarity, even a harsh noise section! I crammed it ALL in just for you! Here is the first track 'Chronophobe (Ver)', my attempt at making a 'Power-Enya' piece! I think it succeeds! Linked on YouTube since the Bandcamp player doesn't seem to embed on WATMM anymore. Adapteras EP is available to you as a digital download and as a cassette of which there are 50 copies! They sound great and were dubbed by WATMM's own SPD: How can you resist? ... You cannot and should not even attempt to resist! Grab it here >>> https://atavisticspasmrecords.bandcamp.com/album/adapteras-ep P.S. - I am joining SEEFEEL on their November US tour as an opening act at select dates and will be selling cassettes at the shows I open at which include the following: Santa Ana - Nov 1st - https://bit.ly/2MXaiRn San Francisco - Nov 5th - https://bit.ly/2JspMdG Portland - Nov 7th - https://bit.ly/2qUaM29 Seattle - Nov 8th - https://bit.ly/2WjXQhD Vancouver - Nov 9th - https://bit.ly/348jnfD Brooklyn (possibly) - Nov 14th - https://bit.ly/2BSmYSY
  4. A compilation of intelligent dancing music is released on teh Bandcamps. It's feature tracks by the WATMM (the William S. Braintree and a Sweguno). The tracks are good. The Sweguno track features Phil Collins on drums. [Excerpt] 10:21 I'm super pleased with how this album turned out. It has great textures and atmospheres, punctuated by notable moments of beauty, and the occasional beat. In my mind, it's a perfect album for chilling with a good book. Individual opinions may vary though. Apologies for the amateurish album art. No one came forward so I tried to give it a shot myself this year. I don't like it as much as the art of previous albums but I guess it'll have to do for this year. (But don't be fooled, the music is truly great this year). EDIT: I forgot to mention, this is a free album! Please don't donate money. If you feel like donating to a particular artist (or our mastering engineer, Zephyr), many of them have their own bandcamp pages set up. But wait, there's more! This year Peace7 submitted a fantastic synth-popish track called "Get Yo Aastumas". I didn't want to just stick this great track on the end of an ambient-ish album. That wouldn't be the best thing for the album, and it wouldn't be the best thing for Peace7's track. So we're doing a remix album based around this track. I'll make a thread in EKT soon with the track and the original stems, so we can all get remixing. EDIT: The thread's here
  6. It's taken forever, but the 'Video Game Boss Battle Themes' album is finally here! Free download at the following link: https://atavisticspasmrecords.bandcamp.com/album/beat-the-boss-remixes Here's a sampler for the album: And here's a Discogs page so you can add it to your collections: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Beat-The-Boss-Remixes/release/6941943 Thanks to all the artists who volunteered their time to make this excellent clutch of tracks. Extra-special thanks to WATMM's resident mastering engineer Zephyr Nova who did a great job giving the album cohesive levels! I know it's taken a while to come out, but I hope you'll all agree that the wait has been worth it! This is meant to be a free album: please do not pay anything (enter '$0' under 'Buy Now'). I only used the 'pay what you want' option because that way there is no download cap. Enjoy!

  8. I played this set out last night. It started out ostensibly as a mix of *only* RDJ Soundcloud tracks, but I decided to change it up halfway through. 9. Fieldtriqp is one of my favourite musicians and I really enjoyed his album 'Hidden Tracks' which was released last year. I decided to make a loose cover of one of my favourite tracks from that album: 'Ss Ss Ss Ss': https://soundcloud.com/sweguno/ss-ss-ss-ss-reinterpreted-by-sweguno If you'd like to hear the original track and/or buy the album it is from it's right HERE: Hope you enjoy :)
  10. Saturday Index is a Producer from Colorado who has been releasing tracks on the net sporadically since 2006. He's finally compiled 20 of those tracks onto this album. http://saturdayindex.bandcamp.com/ What may be immediately apparent to those who have not heard his work is that his music is cut from a similar cloth as that of BoC or Freescha. But of all the artists who worked within the musical tropes established by the aforementioned, Saturday Index has always been one of the very best and most immediately recognizable (along with Fieldtriqp, Hills West, Ciaran Byrne and others) in no small part to his evidently having an excellent grasp of Classical and Jazz theory. Here are a few of his tracks, some of which made it on this album: Of additional note is that the final track on this album (full album download bonus track) is a remix of 'Map-NT' which I made for him. You can hear it on the album and my SC page: https://soundcloud.com/sweguno/map-nt-reinterpreted-by-sweg
