Has anyone been listening to The Orb/Alex Patterson's collaborations on his "Orbscure" label? This came out today I believe... kinda reminds me of the remixes of Orbus Terrarum/Pomme Fritz era Orb... dark and dubby... Also earlier in the year he released another album called The Heavens by Sebidus which is also really nice, and also feels like a call back to earlier times (a bit like U.F.Orb).

Wow. This is a pleasant surprise. Most of 2020 has been full of rather unpleasant ones. Part 3 in this long running series. I remember picking up the first one back in the mid-90s - back when I was slimmer and had more hair. I'm still very fond of the first two in the series, especially the first one. I'm sure there will be some interesting pieces on here too. https://theorb.lnk.to/auntieaubreys3

Maybe it’s cause I’ve been inside too long; maybe it’s cause I’m high. Maybe it’s cause of both. Really grooving to their new album at the moment. Alex seems to have found a great writer in Rendell and has a stellar line of of guests. First non-Thomas album I’ve liked all the way through.

Perpetual Dawn (Ten-Inch TV Advert) Well sounds like just a nice collection of singles and longer cuts of the best 10 years of their career... not the entire 25 lol. Cash grab? Be interesting to see how many of these I already have... I would hazard most of them... via that two disc set that came out some years ago, the double disc remasters, and of course thatch's massive collection of live shows he so generously gave out years back. Have to go through my orb stuff later. And no mention of any sort of remastering for this set either? Hmm.... maybe one of these sets not *quite* good enough for the true orbsessed. Only time will tell, but damn. 2013.

Didn't see a topic on this? A new Orb EP is out. http://www.kompakt.fm/releases/alpine Oh yeah, I have to remember to check that Pop Ambient 2016 also.

There was a nice article on '90s ambient house in the Red Bull Music Academy Daily. Covers The Orb, The KLF, etc. http://daily.redbullmusicacademy.com/specials/2016-ambient-house-feature/

So The Orb is playing a show about 4 blocks from my house in Denver. Has anyone seen them live? I am very excited.
