Figured I’d get a thread going for this. VHS Head has been hinting at something new coming hopefully in the next few months. Not sure if our world collapsing is going to postpone this, I certainly hope not. He is one of my favorite artists with a flawless output.

No, "TBA" isn't the name of his next release, but I wanted to share this info: I was mocking him on his Facebook-Page two days ago and posted some shit about him being late for his usual September-schedule, not really expecting a reply, but he actually got back to me and posted the following: He's been doing a lot of live stuff lately, but this is the first actual confirmation of a new release, to my memory at least. 2013 keeps 'em coming ... ! I'll edit the topic title once the name is out. Until then, we may speculate. I predict this release will have something to do with either the 80s or with VHS-Tapes, possibly both.

So, I recently uploaded onto SC a load of old stuff I did under the moniker of Psychic Avenues in 2004 - 2006, looking back, I quite like the stuff for what it is. This is stuff made during the era of full on, strict rules albums every month, a minimum of 8 - 10 tracks, that VHS Head, Phono Ghosts and I would partake in which we called P.F.B(People From Blackpool). A lot of the time taken up was the extensive sampling that's scattered throughout the tracks - a lot of this stuff was created quickly(obviously), and as a result some of the tracks used preset drum patterns, as it was assumed I'd come back later and fill out those details, I subsequently never bothered of course. I'd be keen to hear your views. Here's a taster: https://soundcloud.com/psychic-avenues/01-mental-geographies And the page: https://soundcloud.com/psychic-avenues I recommend going to the set called Better Stuff.

Just discovered this artist (a duo, I believe) through a 'Rustie' Pandora station. Great nostalgic sounds; never heard of him before and didn't see a thread when Google searching him on WATMM -- so check it out and let me know what you think!
