out this Friday: https://washedout.bandcamp.com/album/purple-noon the tracks he's released so far remind me a little of of Within and Without - super polished and somewhat melancholic. and also perhaps a little too similar sounding, borderline background/wallpaper music. looks like he's having some release events this weekend: I used to think the Life of Leisure ep was the best thing he's done, but after the 2018 remaster of High Times with the extra tracks came out, I have to say that is by far my favorite release of his. I think Mister Mellow was a misstep, can't get into that one at all. and another guy who gets associated with Ernest quite a bit is Toro y Moi. he recently re-released his 1st album, Causers of This, without the vocals - https://toroymoi.bandcamp.com/album/causers-of-this-instrumentals
Tegan Northwood is an Australian singer/songwriter/producer. I first heard her track 'Close' on Pandora a few years back and was impressed: I proceeded to find and purchase the album it came from, 'Self-Raising Flower', a striking mixture of shoegaze, dreampop, ambient and IDMesque elements: https://endgamerecords.bandcamp.com/album/self-raising-flower She released another LP in 2008 called 'Last Days of Home' https://endgamerecords.bandcamp.com/album/last-days-of-home ... And now, today Tegan's released a new EP of tracks called 'Wherever You Are'. Some of you may dig this, highly recommended for fans of Cocteau Twins, Lush, Washed Out, Seefeel, etc: Link to new EP: https://tegannorthwood.bandcamp.com/
Stones Throw Link Fun straightforward summer album it appears. Seems akin to his drafts he was posting up on instagram over the years. Uptempo plunderphonics vibe on this (Avalanches) and trash retro aesthetic (Tobacco, BMSR)
