people say YouTubes comments are bad but that is a lie. i thought about YouTubes comments today and thought there is alot wealth of information in them its like a treasure trove of hidden tresures. sometime i wanna see what people say on a certain thing and go to the YouTube for that to see what its comments are. because of its openess along with twitter its the peak of social media/web unlike facebook or that other 1 what are your thoughs, sup

So I got inspired by this thread: I like the Com Truise track and its visuals are like a professional mini-movie. However, Gesaffelstein's "Obsession" popped into my head as having the right dose of paranoia to match the creepy visuals in that video... A quick Google search then produced this: Youtube Multiplier seemed exactly like the tool to play around with... Here's the result of my experiment: Gesaffelstein - Propagation For best results, make the left-hand video full-screen and fade out the sound manually when the credits start rolling (to avoid an abrupt loop at the end).

Need help locating/possibly ripping an album - DJ Kill Bill - .Nothing. (2014)

Been a long time since I've posted here, but I'm happy to be back. At the moment, I'm looking for a bit of help: A few weeks ago I heard what seemed, at first, to be an Internet rumor/ghost story about a kid in Detroit who documented his suicide on Instagram. Sadly enough, it turned out to be true, and I was surprised to find out that he was a young music producer. He had a Twitter account (https://twitter.com/djkillbill313), an Instagram account (http://www.pikore.com/djkillbill313), and at least one Soundcloud page (https://soundcloud.com/djkillbillprod), possibly two (https://soundcloud.com/djkillbill313). His name was Billy Watts, and he changed the header/description on his Instagram profile prior to his suicide to read "If you are wondering or even disappointed.... Just click the link below. Enjoy your life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D86ArQDvWSY" The YouTube link brings you to the final album he created, which is an instrumental hip-hop piece entitled ".Nothing." I've listened to the beginning, and I like it a lot. I also mostly tend to listen to music when I'm taking walks outside, and so I'd really like to get a high quality copy of the album that I can stick into iTunes and transfer to my mp3 player. My hope was that he left a link for a download somewhere as well, but I haven't been able to find any. Basically, I'm hoping someone out there might be familiar with this young man and his work (his real name is Billy Watts), and have access to a high quality copy of the .Nothing. album - or maybe there's at least someone out there a bit more versed with hunting down .rar downloads, and can ensure that a .rar/zip of the album isn't actually a virus that some piece of crap stuck in there to try and take advantage of those familiar with the story. Barring those options, I'd also be interested in learning a way to copy the album directly from YouTube, in as high quality as possible. I've heard of and used some programs to copy a track or two in the past, but it's been awhile, and I'm hoping someone is familiar with an effective version. Anyway, that's the gist of the situation - any help is greatly appreciated. I'm also always into discussing and learning about new instrumental/instrumental hip-hop/electronic-type albums as well, so if this branches into a discussion involving similar types of music, I'd be happy as well (from what I've heard, the album reminds me a bit of some of DJ Signify's work - but still, I'm really interested in listening to the rest, closely). -

Really been enjoying this show. Its very existence illustrates how The Daily Show has pretty much been playing softball since the middle of the latest Bush run. Lee Camp stumbles occasionally on joke delivery, but I'm confident he'll get better at it as the show continues. Fans of Breaking The Set and similar actual news things will probably dig it. 4 episodes so far.

Couldn't find another thread doing this. It's an easy way to make a mixtape. So many times whilst on the tipple i've gone on epic youtube musical expeditions, saved some links in a disorganised manner but never thought to document the journey as a mix. The other week i changed that.

I'm looking for a macro that will look up a youtube playlist, take the names of all the videos and pop them in an excel spreadsheet. I'd probably look for a column separator like "-" but that'd be easy enough. Does such a thing already exist? I'm nifty enough with VBA so I'm not adverse to giving it a go myself, but I'm wondering if anyone has come across something already? Google results are useless, because all you come up with is youtube videos about excel spreadsheets.

For those who don't know, this is a youtube series with currently (March 2013) 15 episodes, which features bad drawn / meme characters of the most famous pop female singers nowadays. The episodes always involve fights between the singers, as well as bad spelling language. (More or less equal to the afex aventurs comics). Millions of people all over the world are passionate about music. Throughout history, people have looked to music as one of the deepest expressions of the soul, a way of communicating thoughts and feelings that would otherwise be lost in words. And while this emotive impulse is one reason to start making music, we should know by 2012 that there are many others. Now that YouTube has officially replaced the MTV generation in terms of sheer cultural explosiveness, we are witnessing many more of these new reasons. These days, people want to be famous. And they don't care how it's done. We have an entire culture of people who are rewarded for being weird, hilarious, crazy, fucking awesome, or to use the dictionary word, egregious. People want to be different, they want to step out. They want to be known for something, anything that will get them attention. This has become such a powerful motive, that for most of today's popular musicians, it has simply replaced the original meaning of music. Forget , forget aesthetics, forget . People are becoming incredibly successful for their work, but it has nothing to do with musical talent. It's not simply a case of failing to be a good composer. Indeed, artists such as Skrillex and deadmau5 have achieved exactly what they wanted to do with their music. They're not interested in technical skill, or attention to detail, or any of the priorities of professional music. Their focus is popularity, and figuring out exactly what their fanbase wants. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSeNSzJ2-Jw And as it turns out, they want bass drops. They want robot diarrhea. They want manic, sugary melodies that make you feel warm inside for five seconds. You don't see people on YouTube looking for deep, emotional soundscapes to appreciate and empathize with. Because that's totally gay, you know? This is a culture that rewards stupidity, outlandishness, and being totally whacked out on crazy sounds. In fact, the very idea that someone would take this music seriously is hilarious in itself. And that's part of the novelty. They know you're not supposed to treat Dubstep like a Beethoven symphony, and for many people it's refreshing to be able to enjoy music without having to put too much effort into it. The point is, the appeal of this music is social rather than musical. It's all about popularity, in every sense of the word. This may seem frustrating to many, especially if you focus on musical talent as a virtue, but this is simply where our culture leads when you have all the ingredients. For what it's worth, Skrillex (and most dubstep artists, to some extent) is very successful at what he does, and he has the hit counter to back it up. He gives fans the entertainment they need, and they in return give him all the attention and praise a celebrity could want. It may not be emotive, but it's music that can be shared and enjoyed as freely as any internet meme. Whether that makes it "real music" is entirely up to you...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNMqehH4Xpc so i put up yesterday this video of a song i made on my album Música para MAXIMUM MISCHIEF the song Ethnovibez and when it uploaded in my my videos page it says "matched 3rd party content" and u click the link it says Your video, , may include content that is owned or administered by these entities: Entity: Music Publishing Rights Collecting Society Content Type: Musical Composition Entity: Music Publishing Rights Collecting Society Content Type: Musical Composition yes it said that same thing 2 times and says they might put adds on the video or make money from it (i dunno if there is adds in it cuz i used add block) but i looked around to find who are these "Music Publishing Rights Collecting Society" and which "Musical Composition" they says i stoled from but there is nothing. i dunno who they can say i stole something if they dont even say what it i stole?? now maybe i did use samples in my song and if there the company which says they own it fine collect ur dumb money and make adds on my video but i dunno if theres advanced technology enuf to match that cuz IF I DID use samples i would of slowed them down and put filters on it and stuff so could it match then? so maybe it did match but i cant tell cuz they dont tell me whose making this claim on me? wtf so cuz i dont know i cant make the GOOD FAITH claim they force u to do to make a complain so i just made a post in the youtube help section whose claiming i stole there stuff - YouTube Help and got 1 reply so far just some dingus whose saying the dumbest stuff i know already!!! this is the most bull crap i saw in my life ever how do i get to youtube to stobe being so dumb
