I would like to share with you, beautiful people, my very first album release: "ReconoɔǝЯ". The following is an attempt at creating a “palindromic” record, meaning that it can be listened to from both sides: “(..) an attempt to materialize the backs and forths of life (…) It is music without a starting corner, but it takes the idea of a corner and turns it into a circle. The idea of the beginning being repeated at the end and the end at the beginning…”. Entirely recorded using archaic recording devices, such as Sony TC250, Fostex X18, Walkmans, among them. Hope you guys enjoy it. Love you all ♥ https://uisato.bandcamp.com/album/recono

The debut album from my experimental pop band has finally been released. https://hushhushnoise.bandcamp.com/ It started off as a client (singer/songwriter Lily Fawn) coming to my studio wanting to create electronic reworkings of her songs so she could perform them live without a backing band. I got so excited about how the first song was turning out that I asked her if she wanted to make it a full time collaborative project. That lead to us preparing an entire Twin Peaks cover set for a theme show the next month (as Songs from the Black Lodge), as well as the dozen originals on this release. Hope you like it! (The first song which spawned the whole project was "Animals". That was soon followed by "Friday Morning Hymn" which was originally a Zephyr Nova remix of her song.)

I just released my third album, Pt.3. It's sick and has a unique sound to it. You owe it to yourself to give it a shot, and that's not just me being egotistical or trying to hype it up. If you don't like it, that's cool, but I'm going places and imagine how cool you would feel saying "I listened to Punch Cards before she was popular". And you'll never know whether you like it or not until you try it obviously. BTW, my next album is going to be even better than this one, so keep your eyes peeled. Anyway, I really hope you enjoy the album! https://punchcards.bandcamp.com/album/pt-3

This is a project I've worked on the past year and a half. Really wanted to make some lo-fi stuff of various genres, ended up with 2 separate EPs during that time. They were pretty closely themed, so I just stuck them together into this neat little album (at least in my opinion lol). Wouldn't have finished this without a push from some friends, you know who you are. Let me know what you think!

Hi! I’m Timi Alexander, a 23-year old Finnish singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist living in London, and I'll be releasing my debut solo album on Soundcloud and Spotify within a week or two. The record takes influence from the 90s alternative rock and hip hop production (Liquid Swords is a big inspiration on the skit-like nature of the album flow), a combination that will further be explored on the future releases, as well as Aphex Twin. I've performed and produced all the music in my bedroom, an environment I've found surprisingly inspiring over the course of the making of the album. Cold Leather - https://soundcloud.com/timialexander/cold-leather Heartblood - https://soundcloud.com/timialexander/heartblood In case you're interested, here's a Dropbox mp3 download link to the (yet) unreleased full album: https://www.dropbox.com/s/s8du8f1kalam09t/Timi%20Alexander%20%28mp3%20version%29.zip?dl=0 Thanks for listening! :-) __________________ [https://soundcloud.com/timialexander]

Cheers guys. I am releasing a compilation of 10 tracks by 10 artists on my new label Unit Shifter which will be out on February 18th on 12" vinyl and digital. It's a good mix of IDM, experimental, braindance, ambient stuff etc. Been working a long time on getting this album together so I am happy we have come this far. I will post some full tracks later but here's a minimix of the album for now: https://soundcloud.com/unitshifter/unit-shifter-compilation-one-album-snippet

so i tried to make an album that sounded like 1994-warp-era ambient ...and sorta got there a bit. kinda. https://danielarena.bandcamp.com/album/un or streamable on google play https://play.google.com/music/m/B5ovhtqur3o5oz4mszjyxyckwma hard deadlines are incredible at improving focus. in this case, i had a month to pull down my studio room to make space for an (at the time impending) newborn kid (i am typing this right now from the kitchen). i figured i was listening to a lot of broken ambient music and would give it a go. a lot of the sounds on this are processed through home-made, broken dsp - some of my plugins are included as part of reaper's js fx suite, i've been keeping some buggy weird things aside for myself though.

Modest Mouse - Strangers to Ourselves March 3, 2015 http://www.stereogum.com/1724888/modest-mouses-new-album-is-called-strangers-to-ourselves/news/ The Lonesome Crowded West and Moon and Antarctica are two of my favorite albums of ever. And Isaac Brock is one of the best lyricists of our time (IMO). Really looking forward to this.

I was just browsing through my collection and stumbled upon a few albums that I usually just skip and ignore, but today I started thinking "Wow, I have owned this for YEARS and it has never unfolded anything but shittiness with each listen!" - I'm not so much talking about music that is intentionally bad or cheesy, I'm thinking of artists that have produced good stuff before and after, but released an album full of misses at some point, creating infinite disappointment. I guessed such a thread must already exist but the search function doesn't show me any. I imagine this could be root for interesting discussion as I am sure a lot of people will disagree with other people's worst picks. Seriously, what's the worst release you own (digital or otherwise) ... ?

Thought it'd be worth having a thread for the London listening event; meetups, any info on location etc. Seems that replies to the RSVPs are now being sent out, keep an eye out.

amazing tumblr that spots the original pictures from classic album covers http://artofalbumcovers.tumblr.com/ it's mind blowing some of them are a bit a boomer since i've always though the art/design was made for it

Released just 2 days ago but was surprised not to find any threads on this producer at all here. Would have thought the 90s inspired Techno/IDM/Ambient sound had sparked an interest. Anyway, I have enjoyed his recent run of EP's and listened through his album just now. I really like his obvious love for analogue hardware. It sounds at times almost a little too true to it's inspirations, but it's still really good! I suggest you give it a spin! http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.aspx?id=21144 http://boomkat.com/vinyl/831425-a-sagittariun-dream-ritual Soundbites:
