So I spent the majority of last night (12am-5am) messing around with this thing. It's a programme based off of that deepdream thing google had awhile back. anyways it's free, you just sign up and upload an image and select a filter you want to use. I got some pretty cool ones, some not as interesting. in the time it took between uploads I was on here reading thru different threads, so I figured i'd share a bunch of them. As you all know by now, my favourite æ album is of course their best album, and that album, as we all know and can agree upon, is Quaristice. So naturally I spent the most time with that one. I would have done more but I musste sleepen. If anyone feels like doing some of their other album covers, or even other cool covers, please post 'em up! Note that I always chose to keep the original colours when filtering.
Checked out the Glasgow 2005 set last night after seeing it mentioned on here (Dear lord it lived up to the hype) and remembered the free download with the represses. Got it downloaded and damn it's good! What did you guys think? I've also created a Spotify playlist for ae live sets and found some downloads on here. I had a great commute this morning.
reminds me a lot of early idm mixed with the dreamy melodies of Blader Runner . https://bleep.com/release/77193-neutek-fractality and my fav track https://electronictapes.bandcamp.com/track/33p800 also Recorded on vintage analog gear and mastered to VHS, this release oozes warmth and nostalgia.
I'm trying to find this interview and it's driving me nuts. I think it was just Sean or Rob but not both of them. Anyway he mentioned the gear used on Amber, it was just a couple synths, a sequencer, a sampler, and some effects I think. I want to say it was in 2009 or maybe late 2008, maybe even 2006 or 2007 but I think it was post-Quaristice. A while since they'd released an album. I think the interviewer was from some kind of general art magazine, not specifically a music magazine. I might have this saved on a computer somewhere but I'm not sure. I'm coming up short on Google. I saw the kultureflash interview and I thought that was the right one from the domain name, but that was from 2010, so no dice. Any ideas?
