  1. Post long ambient vids here. Stuff I can put on my tv while I'm reading or dicking about. I have these two so far There's also a subreddit called /r/slowtv but it's mostly irl things like train journeys. I'd like more abstract ones also
  2. Music For Sleep / Andrea Porcu - The Heavenly Life Source of "The Heavenly Life" comes from "Ruhevoll (Poco adagio)" Symphonie n.4 by Gustav Mahler. Reinterpretation, tape loops processing and imperfections by Andrea Porcu (Music For Sleep). Recorded in Sardinia (Italy), February 2021.
  3. A magnificent spread of musical expression in four parts with proceeds going towards Unicef. Highly Recommended - check out compilation volumes one and two, too - or just get the whole discography, which is the most affordable option as everything they've released is worth your while.
  4. A new Ocoeur album. ❤️ Highly recommended.
  5. Sam Black's first full album, a bit of everything, but nice. Recommended.
  6. Noticed that there aren't really any JC-L threads on here so I thought I'd make one cause I find his music absolutely mesmerising (his In Summer EP and Songs of Forgiveness album in particular). - Does anyone have any his physicals or has anyone been to one of his shows?
  7. Tenth installment of Neo Ouija's absolutely amazing compilation series. Also available in limited edition double CD and crystal clear double vinyl. All previous installments also extremely highly recommended.
  8. Beautiful ambient paintings by Troberg. Recommended.
  9. Jose Pouj, better known for producing pummeling & punishing techno, releases a more experimental and melodic EP on his own label. Quite interesting, comparable to Oscar Mulero's more IDMish outings. Recommended.
  10. Number 16, 2 GBP, 2 hours. I link, therefore you ambient.
  11. 12k have released this gem on vinyl to celebrate its 20th Anniversary, dropped on the 18th of June. There's some bonus material recorded during the original sessions that's also included. I think this still stands up today, its not rooted to the days when glitch was de rigueur. Lovely album on one of my favourite labels
  12. I am happy to present Nils Wortmann new work 'Alles so schön still hier'. A unique book listing the 100 best Ambient works between 1975 and 2020, with a description and further recommendations. The book features works by Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, William Basinski, Harold Budd, Edgar Froese, Steve Roach, KLF, Pauline Oliveros, Éliane Radigue, Biosphere, The Caretaker and many other artists. The book can be ordered from the following link: Link (for the moment the book is available only in German)
  13. Horizon-painting breaks and soundscapes from Vivian Koch on her second album. Recommended.
  14. A double pack collection of smooth house and melodic electro spaced with ambient intermissions, from the label that released Derek Carr's Pursuit album. RIYL Derek Carr, Darren Nye, John Shima, Russ Gabriel. Recommended.
  15. Andrea Porcu (Music For Sleep project) - New Values "In recent years, Andrea Porcu has been responsible for some of the most immersive, slowly unfurling ambient music around - much of it inspired by a combination of much-needed musical escapism and a desire to create music that would aid self-meditation. New Values, his latest longform piece, arrives with little or no explanation, other than a simple sentence about "listening to the essence of fading light". Beginning with the dull tones of tape hiss and a distant electric piano, the 46-minute piece quietly builds in waves, introducing long, lingering chords and drifting electronic motifs to accompany Porcu's fluid, slow-motion keys. It feels like lazy, languid music for similarly stunning, drawn-out sunsets, with all the warmth and comfort of a soft-touch blanket. In a word: stunning.."
  16. Second album by Island People on Raster, dropping on the 4th of June. I think their first album was the initial on Raster after the dissolution of Raster-Noton. I thought it was one of stand out releases on the catalogue, great sound design and production. Sample tracks for this sound lovely.
  17. The first release on Albert Salinas and Philip Sherburne's Balmat imprint, melodic after-hours ambient soundscapes. Recommended.
  18. More furniture for your ears, affordable as always.
  19. https://lineimprint.bandcamp.com/album/earths-shadow good droney stuff. a lot of his tends towards experimental weirdness but this one doesn't go quote too far that way but still definitely comes from that place, just ends up a bit more emotional and open. haven't grabbed it yet, may wait til Bandcamp Friday (this upcoming Friday, i think?)
