  1. I put up another digital EP of reverb-heavy, bassline-driven dancefloor-friendly IDMish Detroity techno on bandcamp. The default track above is very techno but I think folks around here will like the opener, "Night Gardening" better- came out very Analord / Cheetah EP. Can't seem to link to that track so you're gotta go the link above and get it from there 🙂
  2. This is my third EP and coming out on FLAWEd records, which is based in London. These are 2min clips. The vinyl is coming soon and I'll post here when it does. It's not as IDMy as my usual stuff and the direction I've been going in, which is more like, simpler techno because I've been listening to Binh, Evan Baggs, Lutz, and more classic Detroit techno stuff
  3. https://rosszrecords.bandcamp.com/releases Release date was 1st of May for this on my label Rossz Records Have a listen, I think most of you will appreciate it a lot 😉
  4. New release on the super independent and tiny label Rossz Records. If you like your ambient techno and analog sounds, you will definitely appreciate this wee release. https://rosszrecords.bandcamp.com/album/polygum-cat-food-ep
  5. Tysk Raider - Tysk Raider On Bandcamp Got thrown around these parts as fake AFX and the Tuss. Really great analog stuff.
  6. Hello WATMM, Posting here to inform everyone that my beatless music imprint Psoma Psi Phi has recently reinstated two epic synthesizer records from the inimitable David Burraston (aka NYZ / Noyzelab / Bryen Telko). TTMSubtree and PPLZ SYNF were both given limited cassette editions, and have since gone out of print - these reissues are intended to be more "standard" and keep this excellent music in print and available for a longer period of time. They are also going to be carried at Norman Records and possibly Boomkat. NOYZELAB / TTMSUBTREE [DUAL-DISK SECOND EDITION] "...a 90-minute work that shifts between otherworldly drone and soft, ethereal atmospherics. Think beautiful decay, in the most glorious way." -Norman Records 2xCD-R DIRECT FROM P/PSI/P 2xCD-R VIA NORMAN RECORDS, UK NYZ / PPLZ SYNF [QUAD-DISK SECOND EDITION] "...a gargantuan 3.5-hour record that dives into a deep well of drone synthesis to hypnotic effect. It's as close to a work of art as a record can get, built with Burraston's passion project, a self-build of the Serge CGS Paperface analogue synth. Moody and epic." -Norman Records 4xCD-R DIRECT FROM P/PSI/P 4xCD-R VIA NORMAN RECORDS, UK I'll also be sure to update this post/thread when other shops begin to carry these releases. Also, feel free to follow the label at Facebook for even slower updates: http://www.facebook.com/000bpm Keep your ears widened for Dave's next release at Psoma, another 4xCD-R set bearing the name DSP TRX. Speakers will wobble, ears will tingle, minds will be fucked! Thanks to all of you here who have supported this stuff already! Love, Brian
  7. https://detund.bandcamp.com/album/ab I found this album while going through a poll for best Estonian album released in 2017. While most of the stuff there was basically usual suspects and boring hipster pop, this double LP (running length 2x37 minutes) is to me personally a jaw dropping pearl and I was instantly hooked. The concept is actually not a new one - trying to marry classical instruments and electronics, but it is really rare to see it executed so tastefully and dynamically as Taavi and Kristjan in this case have. There are step sequencers, but they are guided by the warm and loving hands of a human, so they do not force themselves nor do they attempt to dictate the mood in the same way that a repeating melody in a traditional house or techno track would. On the analog/classical yang, opposite of the electronics' ying, the woodwinds/brass/flutes/what have you do not stand alone, trying awkwardly to make friends with some metronome - instead somehow they manage to keep up a very dynamic and interesting dance, slowing down and speeding up. I think this album achieves what many attempts to combine traditional instruments and modern electronics do not - the music sounds raw, alive and very dynamic, but at the same time avoids using too many tropes associated with either classical or electronic music. In my opinion it's one of the most interesting and innovative albums I have heard in the past 4-5 years. This has probably a lot to do with my personal taste, but I felt the need to share this thing nevertheless. I hope there's people here who will enjoy it as much as I did!
  8. Mono Peninsula 'Tired Dub' Album Link: https://rohsrecords.bandcamp.com/album/tired-dub „Tired Dub” is the result of many tired late night sessions by Austrian artist Mono Peninsula (Herwig Holzmann). Tasty vintage-touch ambient dub atmospheres.

  11. It's cold here in the states you actually land in, and we got a bunch of snow that ain't going anywhere. So i'm in the mood for some big and warm ambient pads. I really don't know much about this area other than I don't really like vaporwave but I do like Eno. Let's hear it WATMM!
  12. Posting this for a buddy of mine. He’s been trying to sell a vintage, quite lovely Teisco 60F synth: https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/msg/5804783058.html I don’t know much about this synth, actually. I think it’s a Japanese analog monosynth? That listing is from Boston craigslist, but he’d be interested in selling it anywhere in the USA. Outside the US, probs not because shipping, but I didn’t get a solid no from him either so it’s worth asking, if you feel you MUST HAVE IT. Just to be doubly-clear, not my ad, but this is my best IRL pal so I’ll vouch for him 1000%. You can contact him directly via that CL link and feel free to say you came from watmm! That’d be hilarious. I will now attempt to attach a lush pic:

  14. this new prototype has been teased by olivier for a bit now. his new yt video offers the first audio and details on his next major project. "A 3-channel analog synthesizer on a Game Boy cart. Sound comes from the Game Boy's headphone output."
  15. Just really liked this synth gloopy thing. intentionally underdeveloped :) http://soundcloud.com/cooliofranco/parameters-for-enrichment-and-gender trying some guitar and singing, not really idm i guess https://soundcloud.com/cooliofranco/about-work
  16. Started this 3 years ago... Here is where I put originals, remixes and the like https://soundcloud.com/windowmagic It's all made with analog mono and polysynths, self-made samples and tape manipulation all recorded live without overdubs curious to know what you think! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I36CZKsczAY
  17. [bandcamp]1490737141[/bandcamp] Shout outs to the Japanese crew in Tokyo, Kyoto & Osaka.. ありがとう!
  18. Hey, Has anyone been finding new SFVACID tracks posted anywhere other then YOUTUBE and SOUNDCLOUD? ALL I CAN FIND IS OLD STUFF AMD NO WAVZ!
  19. I'm really excited about these upcoming mixers. Aren't you guys too? They're just way too perfect for a home studio: small in a good way, a build in audio-interface(usb), VST mixing(in/out to daw), etc. Here's a quick overview of it: So basically all you would need. Not impressive? Meaby so, but the price is ridiculously low. Soundcraft Signature 12 MTK, which I'm thinking to get is just about 460e. With all the things it contain, it's f cheap.
  20. Out today, an album that came out of a live collaboration for Sardinia's Spaziomusica festival by myself and fellow Irish producer, Munich based Ian Fleming. The music combines electroacoustic, spectral and found sound techniques with analog synths and techno elements that frequently fall off-grid. It's a ten track album with 62 minutes of free custom video (dropbox links) for the price of a pint and some dry roasted peanuts (or salt and vinegar peanuts- who I am I to say?) Your support would be very welcome. https://tombolaproject.bandcamp.com/
  21. Hey, twiddlers! What do you think about this track of mine. I recently got my first actual physical analog synth (Microbrute) and made some decent tune out of it, which I eventually compose into this track. https://soundcloud.com/d5vata/true-self
  22. Put up a Casiotone MT400v synthesizer up on ebay.. not working: powers up but I can't get any sounds out of her it was really fun when it did play. Maybe someone here can fix it up? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Casio-MT400v-Synthesizer-Casiotone-Analog-Synthesizer-/331468465695?
  23. Here is a teaser for my next 12'' out on the legendary Don't Records Pre-orders up very soon @ www.swervingthecommunity.com
