Andrea Porcu (Music For Sleep project) - New Values "In recent years, Andrea Porcu has been responsible for some of the most immersive, slowly unfurling ambient music around - much of it inspired by a combination of much-needed musical escapism and a desire to create music that would aid self-meditation. New Values, his latest longform piece, arrives with little or no explanation, other than a simple sentence about "listening to the essence of fading light". Beginning with the dull tones of tape hiss and a distant electric piano, the 46-minute piece quietly builds in waves, introducing long, lingering chords and drifting electronic motifs to accompany Porcu's fluid, slow-motion keys. It feels like lazy, languid music for similarly stunning, drawn-out sunsets, with all the warmth and comfort of a soft-touch blanket. In a word: stunning.."

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, ambient architect Brian Eno will release a remastered version of his album Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks alongside a new album of original compositions. For All Mankind takes its name from the 1983 documentary by Al Reinert, for which the original Apollo album was intended to accompany. Check out the stunning visuals for a new track, ‘Like I Was A Spectator’, now. The new album features 11 new instrumental compositions, and sees Eno working alongside both his brother Roger and Daniel Lanois for the first time since the recording of Apollo. Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks – Extended Edition, which includes both the remastered edition of Apollo and For All Mankind, arrives on July 19 and will be available digitally, on CD and vinyl.

Music For Sleep - Infinite Tape Loops: The Edge fans of Brian Eno, W. Basinski will love this release (limited edition CD - 40 copies / digital) When I was a child I lived in a small house on the outskirts of a small village in Sardinia. The house was located 100 meters from the countryside (close San Gavino Monreale castle). I spent my whole childhood playing and exploring all these uninhabited places, sometimes there were dangers but the love for nature was much stronger. This song and its artwork reflect those beautiful moments spent with my dearest and old friends in those magnificent places where human beings have not yet built anything.

In 2018 this track has been sonically manipulated and reprocessed on tape in order to become a pure longform background soundtrack. Thanks for listening.

Found this on bandcamp https://discreetmusic.bandcamp.com/album/water Discreet Music is the solo project by the Japanese artist Hiroaki Yamamoto, inspired by Brian Eno's Album “Discreet Music”. Each recording has been extrapolated from live tape loops performaces. Loops derive from new or old tape recordings. Each sound was written and programmed using analog and modular synths, processed and reprocessed through filters and analog effects to find the ‘No-Sound'.
