  1. Depeche Mode have done an amazing cover of David Bowie's "Heroes" for it's 40th anniversary. I like this song better than anything on Depeche Mode's latest album, TBH. They've been playing this live on their tour, but the produced version sounds the best I think. Gore's guitar playing is sublime, as always.
  2. Usually I'd run this project solely on /r/autechre, but I've decided I'll host it here as well. If you're also a redditor, I'd recommend going here: https://redd.it/5sc95c Anyways, the following will be copy+pasted from reddit [will be fixing formatting errors, sorry if there are some]: * Check-ins: --==-- Make sure to give me some way to contact you! I'll be doing "check-ins" about every other week to see how far progress is coming along. During each check-in I'll reexplain, but basically you can send me demos / ask for help / tell me ideas you have, and I'm always up f
  3. Before we all knew about SYRO, Virtual Urban Records had been planning a cover/tribute album in honor of the almighty AFAX TWENS. Well, it's now available over at the VUR bandcamp page. Personal highlights are Face Cullers interpretation of Minipops (created via the many live sets we've seen, before we all knew what it would sound like) along with Iconic Black Suit's and Mopfunk's Analord covers. Sadly, due to licensing issues there's no preview on Bandcamp, however you can stream the previews of the album on soundcloud VUR decided to pay the extra $$ for streaming licenses, so you

Having said that, here are the rules (to avoid this thread from getting too clunky when loading: - 1 post per page / per member. If you want to post more than one cover, wait after someone else to posts or wait until the next page to do so. Try not to be a brute and load a bunch of clips in one post. - You can post youtube clips, but only if they are of the cover version of the song (if you really want to be kind, just hyperlink it). - If you want people to hear the original, post it as a hyp
  5. Has a thread like this been done before? can't find one. I'll start with this one,
