  2. I will make a new thread since the previous one is full of removed links. I will post all my songs here. I hope this is not a problem... The first one is a more classical track: http://mozex.bandcamp.com/track/magical-dreams The rest are more dancing songs: http://mozex.bandcamp.com/track/son-of-a http://mozex.bandcamp.com/track/marvelous-times https://mozex.bandcamp.com/track/final-station http://mozex.bandcamp.com/track/faith http://mozex.bandcamp.com/track/the-betrayal http://mozex.bandcamp.com/track/thy-will-be-done http://mozex.bandcamp.com/track/the-good-news http://mozex.bandcamp.com/track/judgement-day http://mozex.bandcamp.com/track/the-land-of-mozex http://mozex.bandcamp.com/track/strange-sounds Thats all for now. Will upload more in the coming days/weeks. Been on a break from creating songs but I finished mastering all the songs I have on the moment. I lost a bit of inspiration I think and I need to get back to it. Still have around 10-15 songs which need to be uploaded.
  3. Helioscence #Bandcamp page launch! This is my first official independent musical release. This is a two track e.p. in the genre of hardcore dance with elements of dub and electronica. Mixed, mastered and conceived by yours truly. I have a ton of unreleased work that will be made available to stream and buy over time. Thanks to friends and family for all the support as I open this new chapter on my creative path. https://helioscence.bandcamp.com/album/pulverizer Huge thanks to @bobbyearly for script design and @zd3strd4 for Bandcamp page design and layout.
  4. my second release on vinyl is coming soon and here are the previews. these tracks are dancier i think than the first EP (from sleepers). i'll post in this thread when pre orders and other updates come. this is the 3rd release from florklang records in japan. i really liked working with those guys and reccommend them if you have the opportunity to put something there. this time i got to slap a title on. i'm very proud of this one: i made these tunes during a big time transition in my life (moved outta NYC) and have been adjusting to non-city life (in the us the polite term for the dump is the transfer station and the first time i went there to drop our trash off i was reprimanded for not following policy :)
  5. https://soundcloud.com/helioscence/star-flower A spontaneous dance track spawned of unfinished remnants from friend Phyletic. The driving, positive vibe to this track makes it one of my personal favorites. Created first using the music production software GarageBand, then moving the composition into Reason8 Essentials to be fully expanded to completion. I hope this track encompasses something beautiful and moving for you, it has for me... 7. I haven't written minimal hardware style straight up dance music in ages, so here ya go: http://nothinggg.com/gruv-cuz-1.mp3 So that's prolly like 1/3 of the track. DIRECT LINK (IZ MP3) If anyone has a solid setup, can you turn this shit up, and lemme know how it feels? I have to pretend I'm in da club with me headphones. 8. Very danceable. Very late night. Very spot on. Hope you enjoy Now I Am Become Movement. http://store.steppepper.com/album/now-i-am-become-movement
  9. another new one. a bit simpler. bassy, acid-y, electro-y, dance-y. pic is random rock formation in Queens NY parking lot. so weird! [sc5]300131846[/sc5]
  10. [sc5]300210463[/sc5] not sure if there's sample slippage, maybe still in the category of WIP. anyway, vintage beat with some fun simple bass and reverb everywhere. played my stuff live a few months ago and have been making dancier stuff since then. pic is of my daughter's hand :)
  11. I dunno anymore. It's everywhere, you hear people say it's used totally incorrectly but again, it's everywhere. I find myself turning to it mainly for pads to give them that breathing sound. Do folks use it routinely on bass synths? I think i hear it on the bass on 4 bit 9d, which is currently the standard to which i hold i all music :)
  12. https://plugexpert.bandcamp.com/album/kaas-ep Put up a few silly tracks that make me happy, hope they'll make you happy as well :) . example; https://soundcloud.com/plugexpert/oelek-tainted-cloth
  13. Mac Gollehon and the Hispanic Mechanics ... Jazz legend Mac Gollehon's new project of funk-infused latin jazz/salsa with tinges of electronica and dance out, now via NYC's True Groove Records imprint: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/mac-gollehon-hispanic-mechanics/id1096431025 Mac played lead trumpet on over 500 gold/platinum records. His trumpet playing has been a key element of the defining hook riffs and lines on the new wave/80's pop mega-hits we've grown up with--namely David Bowie's Let's Dance and Duran Duran's Notorious. He's also featured on hits by Chic (Nile Rogers), Grace Jones, Blondie, and so many more. As for jazz, he's played on countless records, and was nicknamed "Chops" by Miles Davis. Charting now, debuting on CMJ's Top 40 Jazz Charts, with spins on KEXP, coverage by Huffington Post / All About Jazz, etc. First single's video for lead off track "No More Drama": Here's one of my two official remixes I personally had the honor of producing that's included on the album: "Obscuridad (David Ben Jack Remix) ...A tripped out loungey downtempo interpretation of one of the tracks:

  18. A good friend of mine, https://soundcloud.com/sammybananas is putting this together. He's a good dude / it's a good cause/ and I think a pretty good idea. DJs for Climate Action (DJ4CA), my 7 year strong push to galvanize DJs and music fans around the issue of Climate Change is finally moving into what DJs do best: HAVE PARTIES. We brought our cause to SXSW this March with an event headlined by Soul Clap, and now it's time for our first ever party in NYC! We're elated to team up with one of the country's most influential environmental groups, the National Resource Defense Council (NRDC) to host a fundraiser in Soho from 7-10pm on Thursday October 22nd. Joining such a seasoned institution on this issue is an honor as well as a great opportunity to forge connections between the music and advocacy scenes. This fall presents a huge moment for the global Climate movement with a pivotal meeting of world leaders approaching in Paris this December. The NRDC event is all about building momentum while creating engagement with this issue. A $35 donation lets you join up with our vital cause and includes drinks from Hudson Whiskey and Montauk Brewing Co, food from City Bakery and music from DJ4CA members Shiftee, Michna and yours truly. There are limited tickets for this thing, so get yours now! I'd also love if you could pass this along to anyone you think might be interested. ----Tickets----
  19. I've got some live dates coming up and figured I'd post them here in case any Watmm'ers are interested in popping out and hearing some original, IDM-infused, ultra-bassy dance music on quality soundsystems. All my sets are 100% original tunes. You can get a feel for my work here: http://soundcloud.com/fox-sounds On June 27th I'll be playing a warehouse party for Tsunami Bass called "Epicenter". It's in Brooklyn. It's a warehouse rave thing with the best soundsystem on the east coast (pictured here). Other artists on the lineup are Seven & Karnage. http://on.fb.me/1eK1Lgv On July 4th I'll be throwing down locally here at Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia. This is a new bass music monthly that I'm a resident DJ at. No page or flyer for it yet. Got some stuff planned for the rest of the year too but nothing's locked down (working on some west coast & southeast USA dates). Will post in here when they're confirmed. Come out & say hi! I think you'll enjoy the tunes and I'll be more than happy to smoke your weed.

  21. I call this "anti-minimalist". Busy, frantic, fun. It isn't mastered, so some things may be a little bit distorted. It was tuned to my own (crappy) audio equipment. Apologies in advance. [sc5]168035694[/sc5]
  22. Hello! To kick off our very young new label (Doga Media) we are releasing the debut of the experimental electronic group Bonsaei. Titled HC19P, the album kicks off with the inverted rave-pop noise of "Lo Lo" and quickly moves into violent and space oriented techno, as well as the Drexciya inspired "Mondo Gordo" (video below), "Suno SFN" and the dub techno of "Rilofasic." the album can be heard here We look forward to further new releases which can be heard in coming months, and encourage listeners to check out other old releases from the (young) label website, which run the gamut from noise-pop to experimental composition and IDM. And to keep a keen eye out for new releases in the coming months! Thanks for listening!
