Current Value really pushes DnB to its limits and through many barriers, to the extent that it breaks through to IDM territory. Looking forward to hearing the full release, but tentatively recommended.

I collected some of my recent tracks for a bandcamp EP. I'm moving away from IDM and more into techno for various reasons, mainly because I'm getting more analog gear and that's fun. Anyway, please enjoy these ones. 4 chillers ones and 1 fun blippy drum n bass track. This is all on my soundcloud too if you don't wanna pay.

I just listened to an old mixtape and it made me want to geek out and talk with some other dnb hedz out there about the good old days. I'm sure there will be some debate as to when it is specifically, but to me it will always be 1993-1996. 93 was the year jungle really broke from hardcore and became its own animal. 1994 seemed like the year the producers wanted to push it as far as it would go with the crazy rinses (a la Suburban Base). That seemed to last throughout 1995. In 1996 it was all about jump-up and hardstep. Darkstep was new and wasn't the two step leviathan it is today. Around 1997 it became a bit too hyped and although there was still tons of dope shit coming out, it seemed like more and more of the rollers were intended to be ready-made pop anthems instead of ass-shaking ammunition. Thoughts? Tacks? Labels? Lets talk.
